MG1W Rhododendron’s lovely colt by Dubawi. He is a half-brother to Auguste Rodin.

That's one pretty foal! For some reason, I really love horses with no markings. I know most people love the chrome......and the flashier the better. Maybe it's because they are relatively unusual, but the "unmarked" like this one just stand out for me!HB1994 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 19, 2024 1:41 pm MG1W Rhododendron’s lovely colt by Dubawi. So do I! I always loved how plain Bernardini was, in the best way - like his grandsire

American Pharoah is another one. Not a stitch of white on him anywhere, and he is so striking! And Beholder too! She may have a few little white hairs on her forehead that you have to the squint to see, but she's pretty marking-free.Slewfan2 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 19, 2024 6:25 pmMissbeholder wrote: ↑Fri Apr 19, 2024 2:01 pmThat's one pretty foal! I usually - not just in racing - go for whatever option is less popular, lolMissbeholder wrote: ↑Fri Apr 19, 2024 7:13 pmAmerican Pharoah is another one. I'm not familiar with what Dubawi looks like. But if he is one of those solid-color horses, does he have a pattern of stamping his offspring like he did this one? I just love it so much, I'm curious.

He has foals with white but I can't think of any super marked ones. Modern Games and Night of Thunder have 3 socks and a star. From the ones I can remember, they mostly have no or little white. He even has some of those rare chestnuts with no white like Space Blues. I mean there is no way, but I can't think of any with a blaze. His sire Dubai Millennium and his grand sire Seeking The Gold both had no white either.Missbeholder wrote: ↑Fri Apr 19, 2024 8:43 pmI'm not familiar with what Dubawi looks like. He is on the heavy side and they said they try to limit what he eats because if they fed him like they do the other stallions he'd eat it all in 30 minutes. He even has to be bedded on shavings or he'll eat all the straw.

That could explain why Dubawi looks like a Welsh Cob.

Yeah he is chubby and on the shorter side, only 15.3. But I think he is really good looking.BaroqueAgain1 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 19, 2024 9:34 pm That could explain why Dubawi looks like a Welsh Cob.
