Bloodhorse has a video of the oldest horse at Old Friends, pensioned stallion, Kayrawan. Who is 32 and looks fantastic.

Breeders Cup winner and sire, War Chant has died at 27.
He's been living in Australia for the last decade+

That's very sad news.
He was a top performer on either surface.
And his stylish victory (over those classy North East Bound, Dansili and Affirmed Success) in the 2000 BC Mile will never be forgotten.
May he rest in peace.

Knew the day would come but still horribly sad. Such a great racehorse and sire, and in my opinion the most beautiful stallion possibly ever

Where did West Coast go? I don't remember there being an article that he moved but I saw on the Bloodhorse leading sire list it said "moved" and he is gone from the Lane's End page. He doesn't have a new export.

He’s no longer on the BH Stallion Register, so I assume he’s been sold overseas

Sky Racing posted Militarize’s retirement announcement with the added comment “nothing left to prove” - that got a fair amount of heat, the horse never won against open company. Yeah 3 G1s… but Australia might be the only place that has more frivolous G1s than USA. China Horse Club does most of their racing down under now, they never keep any G1 winning colt in training past 3. Tons of fun.

Anyways…
