I’m so sorry to hear about Improbable. I became a fan watching him win a listed stakes for 2yos on the 2018 BC undercard. I thought he was more impressive than the BC Juvie winner, Game Winner, plus he was such a flashy chestnut. May he rest in peace. I hope his babies can really run.

And after what winstar did to Laoban who the heck knows what they are given as well. I'm not saying they did anything either since there us no proof, I just lost any respect for that farm after Laoban

Are there any sons of City Zip left at stud now? I imagine Improbable was the one of his sons with highest chance at stud. Collected stands at Airdrie, and Zip It Up came up in the BH register, standing privately in California

He has not won since a minor stakes in 2019 but unless he has been gelded, Bulletin could become a stallion at some point.
ETA: He was gelded. NVM.

I've always found Carson City and his line interesting because he was his dam's only foal. He was a good sire who got a good sire in City Zip. To lose Improbable so young and lose Snapper Sinclair's ability to be a stallion in a year is bad for his line. Its going to come down to what Improbable gets from those few crops and what Collected can get.stelladaniella wrote: ↑Mon Mar 18, 2024 8:59 am Are there any sons of City Zip left at stud now? He does have these as well. Bustin Stones is in NY. Anyportinastorm in Nebraska. Blueblood in Iowa. Gig Harbor in CA. Siente El Trueno in West Virginia. Palace is in Saudi Arabia. Seventh Sense is in Turkey. More than likely there are some others out there.
These that Bloodhorse has listed are not active: Zip It Up hasn't covered mares since 2021, no death report. Baggins died in 2022(only covered mares in 2021). Speeding Again covered mares in 2015/16/21.

Yep, I had to look them up when I realised Improbable and Snapper Sinclair shared sire (I thought Improbable was by Munnings for some reason..)Flanders wrote: ↑Mon Mar 18, 2024 9:59 amI've always found Carson City and his line interesting because he was his dam's only foal. Hopefully the foals he left behind will be successful.

Kind of sad to see that branch of Mr P-line disappearing. I always thought Carson City was under-rated. City Zip was too. What a mare Baby Zip was to produce CZ and Ghostzapper!stelladaniella wrote: ↑Mon Mar 18, 2024 8:59 am Are there any sons of City Zip left at stud now? Had a look at stallion registry and he’s broodmare sire of Bodexpress too.

First Defender (Quality Road - Love and Pride) will enter stud at Haras Alborada in Argentina.

Dam is a G1W and blacktype producer. He has a record of 4: 1-0-1.
I think First Defender may have been born on Foal Patrol.

I don't recall ever seeing a reason given why she only had one foal.

It's weird seeing Tapit rank 79th on the BH's 2024 Leading Stallions list. I don't think he was this far down ever on that list. I know it will change eventually, but it is just unusual.
I wanna do bad things with you.

Cistron passed away due to colic. I really liked this horse; he was a handsome bay with four white feet and a white face. He was also a graded winner on both turf and dirt, and was only 10 years old.
