Equinox(JPN), 2019C. Kitasan Black(JPN) x Chateau Blanche(JPN) by King Halo(JPN), won the G1 Japan Cup 2400m turf at Tokyo with a dominant display under Christophe Lemaire extending his winning streak, all in G1 races, to six on Nov 26th 2023.

Following the footsteps of his sire Kitasan Black who won the Japan Cup in 2016, Equinox became the first Japan-based horse to win six straight G1 races without losing any race in the process.
(Both T M Opera O and Lord Kanaola also won six straight G1s. But both horses lost in a G2 race, respectively, in the process).
Also, he has moved up to Japan's richest horse in history.

@Tachyon, if you have not seen this video before, I think you will enjoy it. It's from WinStar Farm and is about Yoshida and attempts to bring Sunday's sire line back to the USA. I'm glad breeders here are finally recognizing what they might have lost when Sunday was sent to Japan, but I'm deeply happy that Japan got him. He has now become a true international breed-shaping sire. :)

Thank you very much, Ridan! :D
I had never seen that video before.
It's very nice to see Yoshida(JPN) introduced by the general manager of WinStar Farm.
Yoshida's sire Heart's Cry(JPN) has already been doing very well as a sire of sires, represented by Just a Way(JPN) and the sensational freshman Suave Richard(JPN) in Japan.
I always believe in Yoshida's success in the US where his grandsire was born!

Teruya Yoshida (Shadai Farm) looked back then in this video interview.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3QkyZYI9VNE

Teruya said he and Arthur Hancock were good friends who played guitars together.
When Teruya was asked if he wanted to buy Sunday Silence, he just said ''I would buy him!'' without thinking about anything.

It was truly sad news that the son of Heart's Cry couldn't become appreciated in the states.

This is going to be a close call.
I personally think that the Daiwa Major filly should win the title with her undefeated record (3 for 3) including 2 graded wins (G1 & G3).
And the Hopeful Stakes at which the Suave Richard filly beat the boys has relatively a short history as a G1.

Ascoli Pisceno (3: 3-0-0)(1 G1 & 1 G3) - earnings ¥104.94 mil

Regaleira (3: 2-0-1)(1 G1) - earnings ¥82.78 mil

Forego Stakes (G1) winner Win Win Win (by Hat Trick, by Sunday Silence) is a freshman sire of 2024 in Florida and had the $1.8 million sale-topping filly at the Ocala Breeders' Sales March sale of 2-year-olds in training. Ocala Stud, which stands him and bred the filly, says they have a number of his progeny that are training forwardly and they are over the moon with what the horse is turning out. They sell all their homebreds, so these youngsters will probably go to 2yo in training sales later in the year. The April OBS sale has 10 Win Win Win youngsters cataloged, including two consigned by Ocala Stud.
