That's disappointing. Would have loved to see him go to Taylor Made or Lanes End - or pretty much anywhere other than $camthrift or Win$tar. I'm guessing $camthrift already has Turkish (and probably a few South Korean) offers lined up for 2027.

Despite all the drama and dishonesty surrounding Justify, I've always really liked him and found him to be a beautiful animal. It's sad seeing him being bred like a cashcow. Yeah, what he's achieving is phenomenal in the shed, but he's going to be Laoban 2.0 here soon.

If the insurance company says he is worth too much and they wont cover him if he is shuttled, then he wont go. Cause as much as they like making money, the possibility that something happens to the stallion and they wont have insurance coverage would keep them from shuttling. And if he has another really good year in 2024, that no more shuttling could come fast.

IDK. I would assume the older ones. Officer and Volponi have for sure been pensioned awhile. While its not as impossible to find information on horses in South Korea as say Saudi Arabia, I don't know where to find a list of where stallions stand. The closest method I can come up with was who covered mares last year and that doesn't mean someone hasn't been pensioned or there aren't new stallions coming in. If you are curious, here you go: https://studbook.kra.co.kr/neweng/main.jsp You'll have to search each stallion and once you get to his page check his covered broodmares. Fertility is probably not going to have 2023 on it yet, as its foals born from 2023 breedings.

Gosh, I never imagined that I would be "rooting" so hard for an insurance company! If they could actually lay that kind of pressure on Coolmore, who has almost as much money as they do......when everybody on both sides is in it for the money, or the protection of it.

The money-grubbing insurance company might really be able to prevent the money-grubbing Coolmore from abusing a horse is just too ironically beautiful to be believed!

It's kind of like Al Capone being nailed and imprisoned for tax fraud instead of all the murderous crimes he committed against real human beings!
