Here's a novel concept .... how about a periodic site backup? It's a given with a databased site. I've brought this up before, most hosting services can do it for a fee, or it can be done through either the settings or minor customization.

And regarding Syrian hackers, I would have gone after DRF not just a little forum like this one. OR I'd attack the entire host server, which would mean bringing down thousands of sites.

Ok end of rant. Good to see the site back up again.

Tomorrow- I will resume with the GR and Harlington threads. If anyone knows how to add signatures, PM, or avatars, please let me/us know- I would think that it is being worked on- since it says that I need to have Admin permission, or am I missing something?

If I dig thru my computer here- I may end up reposting some of my photos as well from my farm visits.

This is going to take some getting used to! Thank you Victoria for getting the forum back up! I was "Secretariat Forever", decided a change was needed since I had that username for so long!

Good that you said that, because I wouldn't know otherwise. It's so funny to see members that have been on the board forever being welcomed as new members. Looks like most are going with the same names.

All I did was change a number.
But watch out. I got some strange phone call from a guy with a fake Arab accent using my real name. He started yelling that I had to do some survey. He got hung up on.

I'm wondering what was a better hack, the time songofthesword did it to us or the Syrians.
They BOTH had horrendous spelling. Which made me wonder if it WAS songofthesword back for another jab, pretending to be Syrians.

Just a thought. Perhaps could the members choosing to change their user name, put a note in the signature line for a bit showing who they were?

I'm back and still under the old username!

Glad to have it back. Was really missing the last couple of days. With everything going on at home with the flooding I'll take any and all distractions.

When I tried getting on to this site and could not for a long period of time I just knew somebody had hacked into this site. I feel awful for all that was lost and thank you so much for working so hard to bring this wonderful site back for us.
