I can't find the one photo I'm looking for, where his back looks like a banana, so this is the second worst I could find.
Maybe one of the pics here: https://sporthorse-data.com/media?horse_id=560300 You might have to sign up but its free.

I really feel like his swayback is just age related. He lived to be 33. Like if you compare the photo below with the one you posted and then the ones at the link, you can just watch his back lowering. Which was very interesting to see, so thank you for posting him so I could see that cause I never knew he had gotten a swayback with age.

Here is a younger (not standing perfectly) confo shot of him.

Its sort of like A.P. Indy, I wouldn't ever say he had bad confo but he did get a swayback as he got older.

After looking at the faults in some other breeds, suddenly Into Mischief's knees don't look quite so bad. Well.....they're still pretty bad, but he has competition out there.
It's bad enough when a horse has those faults, but I guess it's worse that in some other breeds they are actually seen as desirable.
I don't know what the answer is to change it. I'm not sure there is one. Especially when obvious issues are rewarded.
I mean, halter Arabians have been bred to have seahorse muzzles, but are they excusing leg issues now? Can any of you explain this one? It's the most popular video on the page.....https://www.facebook.com/thearabiancoalition/videos

Interesting. Never saw a conformation of him without the banana back. Thank you for sharing.
This was the shot I was looking for, I believe he was 25 at the time..

And I guess the angle and position he's standing in doesn't do him any justice. He was really beautiful as a younger horse; I've just never seen those photos so I thought he always looked like that.

I can. It takes me right to it, so that's weird. It's the FB page The Arabian Coalition. And if you to to their videos, it's listed as the most popular. There are secondary videos in the comments as well.......

That video of the filly--and that she won--is just horrifying. I subscribed to "Arabian Horse World" back in the 1960's (yes, the printing press was well established by then) and I remember being blown away by the elegance of the "new" Polish and Egyptian imports. Little did I realize how ridiculously exaggerated their beautiful characteristics (small muzzles, long elegant necks for 2) would become. :x
I ran marathons. I saw the Taj Mahal by Moonlight. I drove Highway 1 in a convertible. I petted Zenyatta.

I don't think I had either. The photos I saw of him were usually with a jockey up but when you mentioned a worse photo I thought maybe it was at that link. And it was really interesting to see a least a few glimpses into how he progressed as he aged.

Not sure why Sway Away was worthy to be kept intact as a stallion, but I guess there are worse options out there:

Count Fleet had a lughead, but otherwise he seems okay, at least as a younger horse.

AQHA halter horses are THE WORST. I'm in the lets not breed anything with Impressive bloodlines, even if they're N/N, camp. But of course they keep winning, so it will never happen. At least AQHA won't register Y/Y anymore - I remember when there were HYPP Y/Y at stud and it just boggled the mind why anyone would do that. Imagine trying to ride one of those horses. It'd be like riding a pogo stick that might crumple under you.

Attraction (GB) famously has terrible conformation both static and dynamic, not that it ever stopped her winning!
Attraction was born with crooked forelegs, a flaw that became even more apparent when she galloped. Because of this, her breeder believed that it would be impossible to sell her, and decided to race her under his own colours. Her action was variously described as resembling "a helicopter" and "a demented haymaker wielding a scythe."
