Thanks- the ADR broadcasters were hopeful because she walked into the ambulance under her own power, but that does not seem to be a guarantee that they will make it. Would like to know what her diagnosis was. Very sad-RIP. Pre-race PET scans please.genuinerizk wrote: ↑Tue Dec 05, 2023 2:56 pmPer the NYRA breakdown database, she is labeled as an equine death, no details given.

(Corrected) Two horses went down in the 9th at Oaklawn after Tonka Warrior clipped heels and went down, causing Hozier to also fall. Both horses are up and seem OK, but one rider is heading to the hospital. The other has returned to the jock's room, but is complaining of soreness. Racing may be delayed until that ambulance returns to the track.

Tapit Trice, the Grade 1 Blue Grass winner who finished third in the Belmont and third in the Travers, is done racing for this year, Pletcher said. The horse is getting a freshening at Whisper Hill Farm in Ocala.

Genuine question so I don't have to look at 20 years of Malibu results, has Pletcher ever had a Malibu starter? I don't think he ventures to California much outside the Breeders Cup.Curtis wrote: ↑Sun Dec 17, 2023 9:50 amWas there a race for him in the books over the next couple of weeks………..the Malibu?Flanders wrote: ↑Sat Dec 16, 2023 8:23 pmhttps://www.drf.com/news/forte-still-po ... e-work-tab

I seriously doubt it. I don’t know when the blurb you posted was written. I just saw the date it was posted and thought that there’s not much left this year that would make sense for him. I was at Gulfstream Saturday and there was a 2m turf stake that was going to be transferred to Tapeta and contested at 13f. That would have been right up his alley. Alas a crazy storm necessitated cancellation. That was the only time I have ever been to Gulfstream. It was like going to a mall and discovering a racetrack. And that statue is everything I’d heard it was, in many, many ways. My wife was amazed. She just walked around it with her mouth agape. We did get our 10,000 steps in though walking around it.Flanders wrote: ↑Sun Dec 17, 2023 7:33 pmGenuine question so I don't have to look at 20 years of Malibu results, has Pletcher ever had a Malibu starter? The Diliberto Memorial just run at The Fairgrounds was a mess...Sonny Smack 'went wrong' on the backstretch, and another horse clipped heels in the stretch, dumping rider Mitchell Murrill hard to the turf.

I watched that race and felt bad ---- is there any update on Sonny Smack and the other horse and jockey that was dumped to the turf?BaroqueAgain1 wrote: ↑Sat Dec 23, 2023 6:41 pm The Diliberto Memorial just run at The Fairgrounds was a mess...Sonny Smack 'went wrong' on the backstretch, and another horse clipped heels in the stretch, dumping rider Mitchell Murrill hard to the turf.

He posted his first work in a long time about a week ago, I just saw it. Since it was just 2f, I imagine he is far off a race. But at least we know where he is.

2f in 26 and change probably means it’ll be a long while. I remember he was working late last winter and then disappeared. When he was going good I really wanted to see him try a one-turn mile.Flanders wrote: ↑Thu Jan 18, 2024 2:48 amHe posted his first work in a long time about a week ago, I just saw it. Does anyone know whats up with Lifeline? He is out of Life Is Sweet and was (to my knowledge) Z14's pasture mate. I checked on his equibase and he seems to have posted a workout on the 14th. Could he still be racing? He's 10. Last race in 2021.
