Yikes, wonder what that means, moved to where?? I had reached out to them years ago when they had Catienus and pensioned him, and I was told he was moved back to the Ramsey farm. Wonder if these guys went back to their original breeders or owners. Thank you for reaching out - I was going to call them and ask, but got slammed at work and didn’t get a chance to. I am bummed, Snapper had the longevity I was looking for, plus looked very handsome.
I did note on their FB page they have pics of a couple of his foals, hope they end up being successful.

Had to be some other stallions foals cause he just retired for the 2023 breeding season.

My bad it was a bunch of posts announcing his retirement and that he was going to stand at their farm, then another one showing a mare that arrived for a date with him.

Yep he’s definitely had fertility issues. Didn’t get either mare the farm sent to him in foal

His fertility hasn't been great the past couple years according to: https://www.jockeyclub.com/default.asp? ... tyear=2022
(those numbers aren't always right and don't account for mares that got in foal and slipped) but still only 54% the past 2 years. His best year by far fertility wise was 2020 breeding/2021 foaling when he only covered 86 mares and had 79% live foals.

The thing I don't understand is, they say he can handle 125 mares but he barely had more than that in 2023 with 134.

Rancho San Miguel in California is going to stand BOLDEN (Square Eddie - Bas), who is undefeated in four starts. He is from the family of G2W Parisian Flight and SW sire Concorde's Tune.

I assume this is motivated by the lack of sons of Square Eddie: a good California sire who could've been even better if he wasn't ridiculously overpriced.

There's only two: G1W Ralis in Canada and G3W Listing in California at Reddam's ranch, which I thought was up for sale.

Has anyone seen anything on Classic Empire?

I posted here a bit ago saying he was headed to South Korea but the more time that goes by the less I believe it. Hes yet to be imported to South Korea and its getting rather late in the year.

He didn't have a new export on the JC until like right around US Thanksgiving and then it took them a week or so to finally submit it(it sat on ready to complete for that time). Then he is going to have to clear quarantine in 2 countries. They maybe don't update their page until a stallion clears quarantine? A previously bred stallion takes longer to clear quarantines than a horse that hasn't been bred, like say West Will Power.

Stallion Itsmyluckyday (Lawyer Ron o/o Viva La Slew by Doneraile Court) is getting auctioned off. He initially stood stud at $pendthrift Farm before getting moved around. He didn't get any mares in-foal last year, and did not breed this year.

He finished in the top 3, 6 out of 10 times.

I'd rather a raced horse goes to stud and sure he wasn't a GSW but this is about the best that West Virginia can hope for in terms of an Into Mischief son. When Storm Cat was at stud, every other stallion that went to stud in a regional market was one of his unraced sons. Kind of like California and unraced Uncle Mo's except it was everywhere.

I feel the same way about My Prankster. Could be a whole lot worse and it's a very small market there. My Prankster is a G3W though.

Meanwhile I am excited for another IM son, Chess Chief, in Florida.

That is what I suspected. There were just too many signs that was the case. Shame.
