4xG1P Reinvestment Risk (Upstart) went for $45K to Will Nicks. That means he's probably heading to Indiana.
Consistent, MG2W Public Sector (Kingman) went for...$35K? to Mike Ivarone.

Saratoga Chrome (California Chrome - Queen ofthe Dawn) sold for $25K to Triple T Ranch. I believe this means he's heading to the Philippines.

There was a horse who sold to triple t last year I believe and he went to the Philippines so that'd be my wager for this horse as well

i know a lot of owners do this but i really want to know why Starlight/SF/Madaket always enters a bunch of horses in these HORA sales just to withdrawal 99% of them. like, just in this one (i'm not even sure you can check the outs for previous sales), they originally entered 12 and kept 5. and that might be the least withdrawals in my recent memory. and i don't remember any outs being sold privately, so it's not like they just entered to be like "hey, this one is available".
i like plushies. a lot.

King Fury Brings $240K to Start Keeneland HORA SaleMiss Woodford wrote: ↑Fri Nov 17, 2023 1:18 pm HORA sale just started.
The very handsome G3 winner King Fury went for $240k.

"They (Schumer's clients) really want him as a stallion," Schumer said. "He's been on our radar for quite a while. We've been looking for sons of Curlin. He's obviously starting off as a fantastic sire of sires. I think he's just super impressive. To have a graded stakes-winning son of Curlin is just a tremendous asset. The colt was absolutely beautiful, he could not have been better looking. I don't think I've bought a horse as good-looking as that. We're just delighted to have him."
goes to Saudi Arabia.

Okay so she definitely isn’t a one trick ponyNorthport wrote: ↑Wed Nov 08, 2023 6:56 pmI mean, if Dornoch can get some blacktype, they can probably earn that amount when her next 2-3 foals go through the ring. She may not be a one trick pony.
Would I sell? Hell yes. She can put her leg through a fence tomorrow. But trying to find some reasoning here.

The sales can be a stressful environment for some and they deserve better in their old age.
You can only hope they land in good hands, like Desert Stormer did when she was offloaded in a sale at age 20. I don't know if she's still alive, but Dell Ridge Farm, where she lives, posted on FB about her 30th birthday in 2020. They said she was babysitting weanlings and hanging out with other pensioned mares, which is the kind of retirement she deserved.
Per dell ridge farm desert stormer passed a few years ago

Morticia foaled a colt by Golden Pal in the USA.
Could Shadai intend to breed her to another USA stallion before shipping her to Japan?

If they left her here to foal then absolutely. Or sometimes they even keep mares here.
