Oh yeah. But all horses can bite, no? I've been bit by War Front and Midnight Lute and they're still considered some of the nicest horses there are. Lots of noise, lots of other horses, nervous riders and handlers, could all be contributing to him acting up post derby. I could be wrong, but that's just how I imagine it is. I'm no expert. But also with that reasoning, maybe the KHP wouldn't be the best fit for him due to people visiting and horses being shown to a crowd. Idk. I just feel bad for the horse with all this back and forth waltzing.Justahorse wrote: ↑Thu Nov 16, 2023 3:42 pmDo you see pot derby? He bit the pony and outride

well, but by that logic, he couldn't be retired to stud either as he'd be a danger to people viewing him. not being snarky to you btw, it's just that the reason given by Suki makes no sense. a lot of horses are "mean".stelladaniella wrote: ↑Thu Nov 16, 2023 3:48 pmOh yeah. well, then again, he should just be isolated in a concrete box because in a stud farm he'd need to have contact with the public.Justahorse wrote: ↑Thu Nov 16, 2023 4:03 pmI was saying that towards the horse park comment. Gauging the lifelong temperament of a three year old colt 30 seconds after the biggest race of his life isn’t really fair when it comes to determining how he’ll be able to handle being paraded for fans as a retired 5-25 year old. Reed said he was as surprised as anyone when he saw how rude the colt was to the lead pony after the derby, as he insisted the horse was overall friendly in the barn.

No male horse should go to stud ever.
