If you can find TVG's coverage of the 2009 Classic, you get good looks of her in the paddock and post parade. But the best view of her amazing build was when she was being led back to the stable after the race. The camera followed her for a few moments, and you get a good look at her physique...proud, sweaty, every muscle defined, with her deep chest, tight waist and powerful hindquarters on display.
Barbara Livingston has an excellent series of Zenyatta in her prime, no straight conformation shots, but some spectacular pictures of her from all angles in all her glory in her prime: https://barbaradlivingston.photoshelter ... piXYuOu84/

You will get a watermark in the full size photos though, not sure if the series is published elsewhere anymore.
Thank you. This is very useful.

I think he takes after his BM sire line (Bering/Arctic Tern/ Sea-Bird).
Oh yeah, definitely takes after Sea-Bird.

I thought that Bernardini and Hat Trick were exceptional looking horses.

Saw him in person at York as a 3 year old and was just so perfectly harmonious - a flawless stamp of a horse.
It’s no coincidence to me that his son is also being lauded on this thread - I would love Stradivarius to go on and be a superstar sire.
But for me, Dubai Millennium was perfection embodied. To me, he was the beau ideal of what a thoroughbred colt should look like. Perfect confirmation and that expression and eye.

I'm glad to see someone else mention Dubai Millennium. TVG was fairly new when they covered the 2000 Dubai World Cup, and I was so impressed by how much they were able to show. I remember how gorgeous DM was. When they led him past the cameras after his win, I was struck by how perfect his head was, and how he truly had that 'look of eagles.'
It was such a loss for the breed when he died after just one crop. We were lucky he sired such a great son in Dubawi, but that just emphasized how good a stallion DM was going to be.

He looks a bit ponyish but I always thought Frank Conversation was very solid. Off to Saudi Arabia for him.

And Daddy Nose Best comes to mind when I think "beautiful thoroughbred." He's somewhere off in Arizona now.

I always thought Protonico was well made, with a classic TB type (vs some that look more like racing QH).

I like Bouchero too. Secretariat in his racing fit days not when he was allowed to become overweight at stud

Hopportunity

Only thing I don't love is his head but otherwise I do and the number of times he ran is an added bonus for me
