I had to doublecheck his pedigree, as he sure has Into Mischief's front legs. Not used to seeing such over-at-the-knee legs on a Justify.

I think some of it is positioning, but in the photo of Justify in the 2021 BH Stallion Register he's also over at the knee.
I ran marathons. I saw the Taj Mahal by Moonlight. I drove Highway 1 in a convertible. I petted Zenyatta.

That one leg was over at the knee more than expected even back then. Definitely seems to have gotten worse with running and age.

To be fair, I've always understood that many horse people don't consider being slightly over at the knee to be a big deal. It's being back at the knee that is a major soundness red flag.

this isn't his official shot, but better than the original that was posted here. his legs don't look great, but as you mentioned, not nearly as bad as most Into Mischief yearlings (and Into Mischief himself) and look better here (or less worse... ) than in the original picture too.
i like plushies. a lot.

but then again, if Arabian Lion isn't successful, he'll be off to a regional market where he won't breed more than 15 a year, so it will reduce the "spreading" on his part. though, if that even happens, it won't be before he has 600+ foals on the ground.

His legs aren't that bad, imo. Yeah he is a little over at the knee. I guess I probably think this because of the stallion conformation pictures I was used to when I first started following racing. Like Mr. Prospector and Danzig, who were both over at the knee. It certainly didn't hurt them at stud.

Is he club footed on his back left? Thought his darker hoof looked weird

I know it took them forever to find Rombauer a place at stud, but with his looks and his female family, I'd breed a mare to him. He has nice conformation.

He is beautiful! He definitely deserves a chance at stud.starrydreamer wrote: ↑Mon Nov 13, 2023 11:21 am I know it took them forever to find Rombauer a place at stud, but with his looks and his female family, I'd breed a mare to him. He has nice conformation.
