He still bred 118 mares at $15,000 a pop this season. He's #40 overall and operating at 7.4% BTH to runners/4.1% BTWs to runners. It's not INCREDIBLE by any means, but South Korea? They really couldn't find a regional market for him?Justahorse wrote: ↑Wed Nov 08, 2023 2:00 pm Besides angle of empire who else(that's notable) has he sired that's still alive

Horse will go to the highest bidder and/or buyer with the most agreeable contract. Sometimes, that's South Korea.Nenikikamen23 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 08, 2023 2:11 pmHe still bred 118 mares at $15,000 a pop this season. Though I am also surprised at his exportation.

I'm aware that it's a money game, that doesn't change my opinion that he deserved a Kentucky or a regional position far more than some of the horses we'll see remain in Kentucky. Oh well. Hope SK does him well.Mylute wrote: ↑Wed Nov 08, 2023 2:24 pmHorse will go to the highest bidder and/or buyer with the most agreeable contract. Yeah its nowhere near as bad as, say, Saudi Arabia. KRA's website is pretty good. You don't get the same plethora of photographs as you would with Japan or Turkey but the data is there. https://race.kra.co.kr/globalEn/main.doAkitaperson wrote: ↑Wed Nov 08, 2023 5:48 pmLike japan it's fairly easy to find info on horses in South koreaBaroqueAgain1 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 08, 2023 5:10 pm Oh well. Yeah, and notice that they're not saying how many mares that book is!
I swear.....if Spendthrift and Coolmore could breed their stallions to 700 mares a year, they absolutely would! (Exaggeration, of course. But I honestly believe they would if it was biologically and physically possible!)
Stewardship? What's That?!!
