Ace Impact Retired to Haras de Beaumont

Speaking to TDN at Tattersalls, Chehboub said, “When we established Haras de Beaumont the idea was to target exceptional future stallions prospects. Ace Impact has won the French Derby, he's won the Arc, he's unbeaten. As we all know, to race on for another year is taking a risk for the horse, and a lot of breeders want to use him. He's a true champion; there is a demand for him. For France it is fantastic news, and from day one that was part of the project.”

I wonder if his owner reads here. Cause I said it would be a perfect place for him since they didn't have any Champions anymore.

I had to go back and look on Equibase because it had been so long! He broke his maiden in the Vandal S at Woodbine. He was 4th to Holy Helena in the ‘17 Queens Plate, won that year’s Breeders S at Woodbine, was an RNA $67,000 as a yearling. Earned $3,9 million. And the best part - “he is the happiest horse in the barn”. Big love to Channel Maker, Mott and the owners for doing right by him!

If he's a horse who has loved his job and is happy in the barn, would a new job as a stable pony actually be better for Channel Maker?

Played Hard has been retired, she got a slight injury over the summer and wasn't going to make the Breeders Cup.

Slightly surprised by her retirement. Since she didn't run this past weekend at Ascot due to heavy ground, I thought that she might change targets and come to the BC. I'm pretty sure she would have been one of the favorites for the BC F&M Turf.

She did run? Finished 3rd in the Queen Elizabeth II S. You may be thinking of Inspiral. She skipped due to the ground.
