I know he's been terrific, but that's a bit stratospheric. ;)
That is what it was rumored to be for 2023 as well, although it was advertised as Private.

i'm honestly surprised they aren't at least lowering Palace Malice's fee.
edited because i accidentally put 2022 fees instead of 2023. been having a horrible week and don't have my mind in the right place, sorry.

Surprised they still have PM weren’t his mare numbers really low?

Looks like a private stud farm for Mr Fipke to have his mares covered.

Flameaway had another really nice 2yo filly (Reagan's Flame) win a MSW at Belmont@Aqueduct earlier today. Darby Dan may have scored a good one when they chose to stand that son of Scat Daddy.

Who’da thunk that those sending their mares to Justify this year for $100,000 would look like they were getting a bargain. Has to be $175,000-$200,000 next year. Both turf or dirt, America or Europe, Northern or Southern Hemisphere. Looks like we have the official Scat Daddy heir.

Or even higher if he gets a breeders cup winner ;) Which is has a pretty good chance of in the Juvenile Fillies (Dirt) and the Turf Juvenile Fillies IMO. He's equaled Curlin's G-1 winners with 5 this year and only 1 behind Into Mischief.

Surprised Instagrand not a bit higher - didn’t he breed a lot of mares and have some good yearling sakes?

he was bred to 95 mares this year (in comparison to last year's 141 and his first year's 190). this drop is pretty normal but again i don't think they'd be helping him by boosting his fee.
he had 75 yearlings go through the ring. 60 sold for a $2,699,261 gross ($44,988 avg/$32,000 median). his highest sold for $350,000 and while this isn't bad at all for his fee, it wouldn't justify a raise imho. especially given how hard the fourth year can be.

i have my doubts just based on how many mares he's still breeding every year.

Agree completely and honestly can't believe they wouldn't drop it a bit cause like you said he is going into his 4th year.

Rowayton and Instagrand the same fee? I know Instagrand didn't really live up to his early promise, but at least he had some races to inspire dreams!
I ran marathons. I saw the Taj Mahal by Moonlight. I drove Highway 1 in a convertible. I petted Zenyatta.
