Bump.
I was just coming here to ask this myself! I just looked and the best I can tell, Blues for Sale hasn’t been bred since 2020 (when she had a filly now named Blue Coast).

Blues For Sale also has a 2021 filly by Suggestive Boy, Blue Aura. She was bred to Equal Stripes for a 2022 foal, but missed.

I love when South American mares or their progeny are imported to the US and achieve success. On that topic, any other top-class Brazilian, Argentine, or Chilean broodmares anyone would like to mention in this thread?

The only one off the top of my head is Sand Puce (ARG), because her filly, Scarpia, performed very well at Saratoga today. She was second in the first, but she ran a very good race and looks to have a bit of talent. Trained by Weasly Ward.

Sand Puce was a MGSW in Argentina.

Coming back here to add that her Constitution yearling just sold for $700,000 at the Saratoga Sale :)

Spendarella won the G1 Del Mar Oaks today to give Spanish Bunny her second G1 winner. 8-)

I was just coming here to say the same thing. What a mare Special Me is. I fell in love with her when this article was released a few years back; she had recently foaled Gina Romantica.

https://www.thoroughbreddailynews.com/s ... -lifetime/

The Quality Road foal mentioned in the article must be dead. But she has a yearling Curlin filly and a 2022 full brother to Gina Romantica.

Hate to see these old girls who have done so much pass like this. I don’t think 21 is too old to have a foal, especially if you know the foal will almost certainly pull 7 figures in the sales ring, but it’s still very sad. She has done so much for so many people.
Shastye’s Dubawi colt sold for 1,000,000gns to Godolphin at the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale today. He was her sixth seven-figure Tatts yearling. Her yearlings have sold for a total of 15,200,000gns at Tatts.

She doesn't quite qualify yet with 2 G1Ws and a SW, but Modern Ideals (GB) will likely add her name to this list sooner or later.

Dam of champion Modern Games, G1W Mawj, and SW Modern News.
