I was just coming here to ask this myself! I just looked and the best I can tell, Blues for Sale hasn’t been bred since 2020 (when she had a filly now named Blue Coast).

I love when South American mares or their progeny are imported to the US and achieve success. On that topic, any other top-class Brazilian, Argentine, or Chilean broodmares anyone would like to mention in this thread?

The only one off the top of my head is Sand Puce (ARG), because her filly, Scarpia, performed very well at Saratoga today. She was second in the first, but she ran a very good race and looks to have a bit of talent. Sand Puce was a MGSW in Argentina.

Spendarella won the G1 Del Mar Oaks today to give Spanish Bunny her second G1 winner.TwilightTear wrote: ↑Mon Apr 25, 2022 7:53 am Spanish Bunny is knocking on the door of making your list - she has had Spanish Loveaffair who was GSP (last raced in October 2021, not sure if she's retired); Spanish Queen (G1W); and she has currently undefeated 3-year-old Spendarella (G2W).

I was just coming here to say the same thing. What a mare Special Me is. I fell in love with her when this article was released a few years back; she had recently foaled Gina Romantica.Nenikikamen23 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 15, 2022 5:43 pm SPECIAL ME, dam of G1W Gift Box, G1W Gina Romantica, MG2W Stonetastic, G2W Special Forces

The Quality Road foal mentioned in the article must be dead. But she has a yearling Curlin filly and a 2022 full brother to Gina Romantica.

Shastye’s Dubawi colt sold for 1,000,000gns to Godolphin at the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale today. He was her sixth seven-figure Tatts yearling. Her yearlings have sold for a total of 15,200,000gns at Tatts.Northport wrote: ↑Mon May 02, 2022 7:46 am You can removed Shastye from the list, who has died from hemorrhaging after producing a Dubawi colt

Hate to see these old girls who have done so much pass like this. I don’t think 21 is too old to have a foal, especially if you know the foal will almost certainly pull 7 figures in the sales ring, but it’s still very sad. She has done so much for so many people.
