🚨 BREAKING: Ace Impact, the electric winner of both the Prix du Jockey Club and the Qatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe, has been retired to stand at the Haras de Beaumont stud in Normandy.

Ace Impact Retired to Haras de Beaumont

Speaking to TDN at Tattersalls, Chehboub said, “When we established Haras de Beaumont the idea was to target exceptional future stallions prospects. Ace Impact has won the French Derby, he's won the Arc, he's unbeaten. As we all know, to race on for another year is taking a risk for the horse, and a lot of breeders want to use him. He's a true champion; there is a demand for him. For France it is fantastic news, and from day one that was part of the project.”

Americanrevolution to Rockridge Stud for $12,500.

https://www.bloodhorse.com/horse-racing ... ny-in-2024

Kind of surprised they picked him up when they had to get a lot of the NY farms together to get Mind Control for 2023. But also interesting they are standing him as a partnership and doesn't seem to be getting syndicated. Americanrevolution will stand as a partnership between WinStar Farm, CHC, Rockridge Stud, Taylor Made Stallions, Mill Creek Farm, and Fortune Farm, in a deal brokered by Matt Bowling of Bowling Bloodstock.

Have you seen Frankel lately? It runs in the family. 😀

Seriously though, I wish they would keep more weight off Frankel.

Bit of ribs up top is fine. It isn’t uncommon for horses to carry their weight lower on their barrel as they get older. Gravity is gonna gravity. Some horses can just have that body type as well. A big ribcage/barrel that just wouldnt be healthy for them to fill out 100% without being too heavy.

Japan is known for their stallions being on the leaner side, with Shadai lunging theirs and Shizunai riding them. Plus who knows their feeding regime, but clearly something lighter than a lot of American operations. If we start seeing videos of him limping around with hips sticking out like a Holstein, I’d start being concerned.

yeah he looks like he's hefty, but Private Thoughts noted the ribs. and seeing both (i think?) just made want more info/input. appreciate you weighing in =)
i do agree that the japanese stallions tend to look healthier/more fit than american, so i'm not worried much. they'll take solid care of him, whatever he needs. i've been pretty impressed with their horse care.

West Virginia may have a nice regional stallion developing in Taylor Mountain Farms' Tapit son, Juba. Juba has had three winners in the first three races at Charles Town's West Virginia-bred stakes card tonight - Jubawithatwist, Jubaslilballerina and Juba`s Hat Trick.
There are seven more races to go, and Juba has several more chances to add to tonight's win total. :D

Juba just had another winner at Charles Town. Hessica won the West Virginia Cavada Breeders' Classic for F&M 3yo+up, and managed to win well despite the horribly sloppy track.
Looks like the Juba offspring are happy on an off track. ;)

Arcangelo to Lane's End on Retirement
https://www.thoroughbreddailynews.com/a ... etirement/

“Arcangelo's historic 3-year-old campaign fits a profile that we are very familiar with on our stallion roster,” said Lane's End's Bill Farish. “There's no doubt that Arrogate's brief career at stud has had a major impact on racing and the opportunity to stand a Classic-winning son of his with such a deep pedigree makes Arcangelo an exciting and unique prospect for Lane's End.”

here's to hoping he races as a 4yo even if he wins the BCC.

Since they don't say anything about him racing at 4 I don't have much hope but I'm going to keep a little hope that he does.

But I'm happy that he is going to Lane's End over one of the farms that overbreeds their stallions.
