Their white gene is dominant, so she didn't get it from the dam. Buchiko's 2022 colt is not white either. Buchiko will either give a white gene or a bay gene.Justahorse wrote: ↑Sun Oct 01, 2023 9:54 am Anyone good with genetics? Why is she the only one who is solid and not white or spotted

So with Sodashi being retired, what stallion will they choose for her next year?
I think maybe Drefong?

I seriously hope that Makoto Kaneko will send her to Orfevre so that her baby could get the distance and love either surface (especially dirt).Palace Malice wrote: ↑Sun Oct 01, 2023 3:44 pmI would be scared about the temperamentGemini wrote: ↑Sun Oct 01, 2023 3:30 pmI think sending her to Orfevre would be cool.Palace Malice wrote: ↑Sun Oct 01, 2023 12:00 pm So with Sodashi being retired, what stallion will they choose for her next year?

Both Drefong and Mind Your Biscuits would be cool, too.

The 2020 Triple Tiara winner Daring Tact(JPN), Epiphaneia(JPN) x Daring Bird(JPN) by King Kamehameha(JPN), retired from racing due to her old injury.
She was winless after the Shuka Sho where she completed the Triple Tiara while remaining undefeated.
But her gutsy efforts especially in the 2020 Japan Cup (3rd) and 2022 Japan Cup (4th) are unforgettable, too.
She lost her best form due to a suspensory injury.
Thanks for the memories and best of luck to her as a broodmare (at Okada Stud)!!

Happy retirement to her. I enjoyed watching her her run when she was at her best. The 2020 Japan Cup was a great race.tachyon wrote: ↑Fri Oct 06, 2023 8:21 pm The 2020 Triple Tiara winner Daring Tact(JPN), Epiphaneia(JPN) x Daring Bird(JPN) by King Kamehameha(JPN), retired from racing due to her old injury.

Personally I will be happy even if Sodashi is bred to Gold Ship himself with a similar reason as I like Orfevre, haha.
Gold Ship is successful at stud (BRF) siring five group winners including Japanese Oaks winner Uberleben.
His babies seem to have been full of stamina and not excessively quirky, so far, haha!

NAR races are usually in the morning EST time. I watched Ushba Tesoro the other day and I think it was around 7am.
