Freud hasn't had any runner in Japan so far. But I overlooked his broodmares.

Tachyon already answered you but I wanted to add that there aren't many Freud's at stud. The only other two I could find are Must Go On(ARG) in Argentina and Alex Rossi(ARG) in California. Neither of these was listed on Bloodhorse's Stallion Register so its possible there are some more that just aren't advertised. But because he is a regional sire, that means that a lot of his sons were gelded. And his other G1 winning intact son, Giant Ryan, brokedown and was euthanized in 2012.Justahorse wrote: ↑Fri Oct 06, 2023 7:20 amOh that's surprising but he'll be the first Freud there?

considering his pedigree i was a lil bummed Freud wasn't a bit more nationally successful. i hope sharp azteca does well for his new connections.Flanders wrote: ↑Fri Oct 06, 2023 7:27 pmTachyon already answered you but I wanted to add that there aren't many Freud's at stud. I am a bit surprised that Shizunai picked up Sharp Azteca, mostly because of his questionable racing career (trainer).

Like Oju Chosan, Naran Huleg was bred by a small farm in Hokkaido. He was not a ''Shadai Group'' horse.Miss Woodford wrote: ↑Sat Oct 07, 2023 10:17 pm G1W Naran Huleg (Gold Allure x Kelley's Beauty by Brian's Time) has been retired following his 9th places finish in the Sprinters' Stakes and has arrived at Versailles Resort Farm for stud duty.

The son of Gold Allure gave a first G1 victory to his owner, his trainer and his jockey by taking out the 2022 Takamatsunomiya Kinen.

And, now, it does look like all of his fans are thrilled with his owner's decision to retire him to Versailles Resort Farm which is becoming an unique and popular place.
Happy retirement, Naran Huleg!!

I posted in the Whatever Happened to section, a new post called Paulick Report: Kentucky Derby starters. They've done the 2014 and 2015 KD Fields. In the 2014 video it said Ride on Curlin is pensioned at his owners farm.Starine wrote: ↑Fri Dec 30, 2022 10:31 pmRide On Curlin's son Coffeewithchris won the Heft Stakes today at Laurel.brunanas wrote: ↑Tue Dec 27, 2022 6:28 pmyes that's what reminded me of him!Diver52 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 27, 2022 6:11 pm
Just as an oddity, a 2yoc by Ride on Curlin named Sonoran, who finished a good second to his stablemate, the very fancied Faustin, at Santa Anita yesterday was a relatively eye-popping $230,000 OBS spring purchase this year--owned by Jill Baffert, trained by Bob. (Who also trains Faustin.) The colt must have had a spectacular breeze, a great physical, or both!
