Hip 18 looks like American Gal was fed a diet of exclusively lemons while carrying it.

348 is a good-sized, handsome grey Tapit. Has quite a presence about him. I'd buy him. $525,000.

MV Magnier is Coolmore right? So if they paid $1.2 mil for a colt that is wonky they must see something we don't

Yeah, I was going to say, that War Front colt was clearly going through an awkward phase.BaroqueAgain1 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 12, 2023 4:37 pm Some of these yearlings (like that unfortunate-looking War Front x Orate colt) are just in awkward stages of their growth. It takes someone with a better eye than I have to see the potential when they stop growing.
And we've had this discussion on this board in the past, though maybe some of you are newer and missed it - but you don't get the whole picture from one conformation pic. I think seeing the video of them moving helps a good deal, but unless we see them in person, a photo can be deceiving. I highly doubt anyone is spending $1.2M on a yearling that is going to fall apart at any second. I'm guessing he looks nicer in person AND has a decent physical.
