Hopefully it isn't life threatening, but I'm sure his career is over. With his pedigree and race record, hopefully he'll find a spot at one of the National Hunt outfits, though his soundness is a huge red flag.

Most of the euro pundits had been joking since Ascot that we wouldn't see him race again, guess they were right. Have a hard time recalling a big time European horse that had so many last minute withdrawals from major races.

Shockingly, his connections are still thinking about racing him again. I hope somebody has an attack of common sense and does the right thing.

Ripon is a lovely little racecourse its known as Yorkshire's garden racecourse.

It's a shame that such big names as Ace Impact, Mostahdaf and Hukum bypass the Irish Champion this year.
But it must be a good opportunity for the sophomores to rebound.

Personally I was most impressed by the G2 Prix Niel winner Fantastic Moon(GER) on the Arc trial day at Longchamp.
I like German horses and jockey Rene Piechulek has another Arc contender on his hands!
But his connections are not yet decided if he goes the Arc and considering the BC Turf and/or the Japan Cup.
The Sea the Moon 3yo colt is believed to show his best on the firm going, too.
