What is your problem? How do you think its okay to talk to people like that? Iowa is just a regional market. A college getting a G1 stakes winner, even a failed Kentucky stallion, with his pedigree is a big deal to them. Yet you have to be ignorant to them? Grow up. And don't think I don't know it was you, you used that user name on here before you changed to Suki and then changed it again.

Argentina HOTY and multiple champion Mirinaque (Hurricane Cat - Langostura) has been retired to stud. He is G2P in the USA.

Also, Argentinian G1W Marignac (Equal Stripes - Marina Romea) has been retired to stud.

If that FB comment indeed justahorse then I really don’t know what to say. Just gross. Stallions move along all the time and usually to operations that are thrilled to have a horse of that calibre. It isn’t “shitposting”, it’s literally just attempting to bully a university. Grow up.

Those names are so similar!

Also, whoever that DanniWolf person is who made that rude comment on FB about Free Drop Billy going to Iowa is just unnecessary. ISU is allowed to be excited, this is a big get for them.

As an Iowan, this is huge for our local industry. He'll be much better supported here than he would be in Kentucky, to minimize this news as simply obtaining a "Spendthrift reject" is such a pessimistic and disgusting way to look at things. The horse's wellbeing is supposed to be the top priority every step of the way, why talk down on a university - which is known for its animal care program - for excitedly sharing this news? Some people exist just to ruin everyone else's day, it appears.

something i love about these regional market sales (linked in the FDB post) is getting to see the "unknown" (for us) stallions that make up such a large portion of their bloodstock. such as Blueblood (3 catalogued), Elite Squadron, Newport, Prince of War (3), Street Strategy, Taprize, Timeline (5)... not to mention BMS and cover sires. my best friend's gelding is an IA-bred by Rushin' to Altar.

<3 This!

To build on that, Iowa State University is well known for their animal husbandry programs. Maybe Iowa isn't known for Thoroughbred racing, but doesn't mean he won't do well or get the support he deserves there.
And yeah, he is a scamthrift reject, but that isn't FDB's fault. I doubt he would have succeeded in Kentucky no matter what farm he was at (nothing against the horse - this comment is based on pedigree and commercial attractiveness and neither are particularly appealing at the moment). Being at spendthrift certainly didn't help, but let's be honest, most of the stallions that enter stud with them end up in regional markets before their first crops even hit 3. I hardly see how spendthrift's poor business model justifies slamming Iowa State University and the entire state.

I like seeing the Isotherm babies, there can't be too many sons of Lonhro in the US.

Also there's a yearling half-sibling to the very nice timber horse Storm Team in the sale (apparently timber stakes winners get italics instead of bold type?).

Scamthrift—I love it.

I remember the devoted care the University of Arizona Equine Center gave Chelokee the last few years of his short life.

Thanks for calling out on this. The comment left on FB was immature and just plain rude.

Tasteless comment by you. You act the same way Suki did/does, and like Flanders already stated, you magically appeared out of thin air when Suki "disappeared". Why not stand for your actions?

At least with regional markets it would be easier for them to return to Kentucky and for North American fans to go and visit them if they're able.
