I know Denali is in Kentucky but I wondered if they were sharing video footage of a foal that was shipped in-utero to Australia to foal.Flanders wrote: ↑Tue Aug 01, 2023 1:36 pmDenali is in Kentucky.Mylute wrote: ↑Tue Aug 01, 2023 9:50 am Southern hemisphere time filly foal by Gun Runner born yesterday. I'm sorry, but I am completely confused by this! I obviously don't have a clue about how this stuff works!Flanders wrote: ↑Tue Aug 01, 2023 1:36 pmDenali is in Kentucky.Mylute wrote: ↑Tue Aug 01, 2023 9:50 am Southern hemisphere time filly foal by Gun Runner born yesterday. If this filly by Gun Runner was born at Denali in Kentucky on 7/31/23, wouldn't she officially become a yearling 5 months later, on 1/1/24, likely before she's even weaned? Does the fact that her mother has a brand have anything to do with it? Perhaps the filly was conceived in say South America in Southern Hemisphere time, and then imported to KY in utero. I wasn't aware that Gun Runner was a So American shuttler, but my not knowing that means diddley-squat! Also, where will this filly's registration be? Will she be a KY bred, or will she be registered as a South American bred, assuming that's the Southern Hemisphere area we're talking about.
Again, I apologize for my total ignorance on this! I'm not even sure my questions are making any sense! I need help! TIA!

They said she was born at their farm though. Maybe they changed it since you posted it here cause it does say edited 55 minutes ago and says "We love a Southern Hemisphere foal! This beautiful Gun Runner filly was just born at the farm and we couldn’t be more in love " #visithorsecountryMylute wrote: ↑Tue Aug 01, 2023 2:12 pmI know Denali is in Kentucky but I wondered if they were sharing video footage of a foal that was shipped in-utero to Australia to foal.Flanders wrote: ↑Tue Aug 01, 2023 1:36 pmDenali is in Kentucky.Mylute wrote: ↑Tue Aug 01, 2023 9:50 am Southern hemisphere time filly foal by Gun Runner born yesterday. He isn't. They allow mares to be shipped to him at Three Chimneys and bred on Southern Hemisphere time. Mares are bred to USA stallions in the USA on Southern Hemisphere time every year. Yes the foal would be a yearling on January 1st if it was kept in the US but she's going to be shipped back to Australia or where ever. She is a KY-bred because that is where she was born and she'll have to be registered with the Jockey Club. But all the stud books work together. So they would just submit the information to the, I'm assuming, Australian Stud Book, who would then send the information to the Jockey Club. So even if a name wasn't used in Australia but was used in the USA, the foal could not be named that.Missbeholder wrote: ↑Tue Aug 01, 2023 2:46 pmI'm sorry, but I am completely confused by this! Flanders, thanks so much! That really did help! There were a few things that you clarified for me that I didn't understand, and I truly appreciate it!

I'm not sure anyone is happy to see a precious Honor A.P. foal born in Puerto Rico...a place which does not have a great reputation for how TBs are treated there.

New pic of Zenyatta's Nymue on Facebook and Instragram. Wish they would update their regular website (zenyatta.com) as I'm like many who do not have Instragram or Facebook accounts..... what I've found is that I can always see the first page as long as I clear my cookies, but here is the pic (think there is only 1, link works for me, not sure it will for everyone else). She looks like mom and kinda huge (?).
