I thought that was snow on that foal at first!
That foal is out of an Airdrie Apache mare so he got his coloring from her sire. I work on the farm and he is quite a striking colt!
Not many from this line make it to the track, Anxious to see how this little one turns out.

Serena's Song is 22, I wonder how many more years they will want to breed her?

Not sure, but she has more than proven herself as a broodmare. I'm sure that they will not do anything to harm her, if she is able, healthy and happy, then it's ok by me. I have a feeling that this may be the last one, if not one of the last. I could see here being one of those mares that you put in a field with the youngster to teach them lessons. I seem to remember some other high-profile mares have done this, and have liked it very much.

Not that I wouldn't have loved a colt as much, but a MDO daughter is precious- and hope all goes well for both. Such a cutie!

Don't worry about Serena's Song. They'll do right by her. She's a tough old bitty, and she's been so good to them.

I'm sure they will. I heard she is a very good momma, they do what they have to with the foal, and leave her to it- very protective of her babies.

Her 2000 baby, Arbitrate- had his 14th birthday on Saturday. He is at stud in Mexico.
