Sad that Sheikh Hamdan wasn’t here to see what may be Shadwell’s best couple of seasons, but happy to see how much it means to his daughter. Couldnt have asked for a better way to get someone hooked on racing than having horses like Baaeed, Minzaal, Hukum, Mostahdaf, Malathaat, and Al Husn back to back to back.

Knew his only hope was as a NH stallion, but surprised it’s Coolmore that will stand him. The Galileo line only has a couple G1 winners over jumps and they have no shortage of Galileo staying sons. Guess they can only stand so many Monsun descendants.

He was just sold at F-T July to Saffie Joseph Jr, who is originally from the West Indies and I assume had some connections there (though he isn't the owner or trainer of record for this race).Mylute wrote: ↑Tue Aug 15, 2023 11:27 am EASY TIME (Not This Time - Running Creek) wins the...2023 Guyana Cup in Guyana!

I'm impressed by the broadcast quality of Guyanese racing, better than half the tracks in the US. Music is better too, though the remix at the end of the replay was a bit much lol.

+1. Native Trail started it off in June, Adayar was next in July, Hurricane Lane was early August, and now Modern Games. Appleby isn't having a very good year. But it happens, can't have great years every year. Plus he also lost Creative Force when he broke down in May.

Forgot about Hurricane Lane. Yeah, I think this is a year Appleby will gladly forget. Still time for a good two year old to come along, but so far every generation of horse he’s had in 2023 has been a bit… meh. But the standards are so high for his operation.Flanders wrote: ↑Tue Aug 15, 2023 10:49 pm+1.
