Can't imagine that is going to push her value up any. I mean honestly they had to of private sold her to OXO right? How would Rowayton make anyone's list of stallions? In his 3rd year at stud and I think max mares he got was under 50.

This is where I come to add on and say, man I thought she raced last year. hahaha I remembered her RNA'ing at one of the sales last fall. I completely forgot she retired and was bred in 2021 and was definitely owned by OXO, which is obvious given the stallion.

All I can say is, he's nuts, but he is supporting his stallions. And that one needs all the help he can get.

Haven't looked at his sales numbers but I have two theories as to why there's such a massive drop for Instagrand:

1. There's a million others just like him at stud
2. He's not even a G1W

I believe this was his 3rd year at stud and most stallions see a significant drop then. It's risky to breed to a 3rd year stallion because he'll have runners by the time the resulting foal is a yearling. If he hits, awesome. If his runners aren't doing much, you are screwed if you want to sell the yearling.

That many fewer mares for Gun Runner confuses me. It's good, in that 256 mares is way too many for any stallion physically and generally in the gene pool. Did they decide to limit him or was there just less interest? I am really happy to see things pick up significantly for Sharp Azteca and Funtastic holding steady. I hope he gets a couple of breakout runners soon.

i think it might also be that not all numbers are out. it won't spike up too much but i'd expect it to end around the 200-05 mark.
