I posted on another thread about him. Have been following him and thought he looked good today - they shortened back to 7 furlongs and added blinkers - led from start to finish. Hope he moves forward from this...

Charge Now (by Tiznow), 1/2 to Super Saver, ran 2nd today for Mott in the 6th race at Gulfstream. The winner was Dance Champion, out of Dance Away Caopte.

I was trying to watch him and The Admiral. Lord Lochinvar broke slow (last) and never seemed to really get into the race. Hopefully better things from him in the future...

Class Leader (Smart Strike-Class Kris) (3yo half brother to Student Council) broke his maiden in R7 at FG on Monday. A little green down the lane, but hoping he keeps improving.

From the DRF:

In the second race, his 3-year-old Garen led throughout a maiden special weight race over 1 1/16 miles, his third career start. Miller said that Garen is likely to start in a Kentucky Derby prep race in late March.

Garen races for Rockingham Ranch. The colt is by Street Cry, and is a half-brother to Invasor, the 2006 Horse of the Year.

“He has the breeding to be a good horse,” Miller said. “We’ll look at a Derby prep next. I think we’ll go out of town.”

At SA for Pimpernel's race the in-house analyst (for HRTV I guess) commented that Baffert expected a better effort because he'd been working with the colt to "finish." I'm not sure how you teach a "speed and fade" horse to stop fading, but it worked! He really came home nicely.
