I think I've never seen a field like that, so much quality... They could all win with good luck and a good ride.
If I have to pick a top 3 let's say... Sodashi, Songline and Gaia Force.

And her rating for the Japanese Oaks was confirmed.
Liberty Island's 120 is equivalent of 124 for a colt.
So, in taking account of this 4lb sex allowance, one may say that she is rated the top 3yo in the world followed by Ace Impact(IRE) at the moment.

Derma Sotogake(JPN)(Mind Your Biscuits) might be aimed at the G1 BC Classic Nov 4th at Santa Anita with a domestic prep in the Jpn2 Nippon TV Hai Sep 27th at Funabashi.
If he can't get a berth in the BC Classic, he will be headed to the Jpn1 JBC Classic Nov 3rd at Oi instead.

So we should see the first match-up between Ushba Tesoro (DWC winner) and Derma Sotogake in the Jpn2 Nippon TV Hai!!

And today Perriere(JPN)(Henny Hughes), winner of the Hyacinth Stakes (Listed) & 4th of the UAE Derby (G2), won impressively under Christophe Lemaire the G3 Unicorn Stakes 1600m dirt at Tokyo.Flanders wrote: ↑Sun Feb 19, 2023 2:14 amHe is a descendant of Ski Paradise! The Unicorn Stakes is the first graded stakes on dirt for 3yo in JRA.
Even after Derma Sotogake'& Mandarin Hero's debacles in the Kentucky Derby, Japanese 3yos on dirt still look very good are fun to follow this year.
I believe that Japanese fans (and probably Japanese owners & breeders, too) are getting more interested in the dirt racing recently and I'm very happy about it.
Japanese runners' overseas success (Marche Lorraine, Panthalassa, Ushba Tesoro, Derma Sotogake, Mandarin Hero etc) gave a boost to the dirt racing in Japan!!
