That photo from the front of Sodashi just leading the rest of the field reminds me of the LoTR scene where Arwyn on her white steed is pursued by the Nazgul.

Netkeiba.com has always been by far the most popular website for the Japanese fans.
I believe that most of the Japanese fans on the internet use Netkeiba's information and database to handicap the races, find out odds, PPs, stats etc.
Netkeiba is said to have 17 millions+ users access per month in Japan.
I'm very glad that they released the English version which has a similar scale of information as the Japanese version, even if they may have more to do with the headline and/or breaking news in English.

I would think that, together with Japanracing.jp. https://japanracing.jp/en/, JBIS https://www.jbis.jp/index.html and Japanese Studbook https://www.studbook.jp/users/en/UserMenu.php, overseas fans will now be able to collect sufficient information to follow the Japanese racing.

I think Liberty Island will win easily but if not then Perifania is my second choice. I've seen pictures of her and she's so pretty

Perifania is a 1/2 sister to the 2021 Horse of the Year Efforia (Epiphaneia), isn't she?

Will she give his sire Maurice his first Classic victory here?

I think that Liberty Island is a very special filly.
But, my only concern is her final workout on Wednesday. To me, she looked a bit too sharp to run a 12F race in four days.

I hope that Liberty Island can relax in the early part of the race so that she could exercise her super turn of foot in the final straight.
My second choice is Kona Coast. She is by the red-hot sire Kitasan Black.

The weather is fine today at Tokyo and the turf condition will be excellent good to firm.

Liberty Island(JPN), 2020F. Duramente(JPN) x Yankee Rose(AUS) by All American(AUS), won very impressively the G1 Yushun Himba (Japanese Oaks) 2400m turf at Tokyo under Yuga Kawada on May 21st 2023.
Her sixth lengths victory has been the largest margin in the Japanese Oaks since Tesco Gaby in 1975.
She is simply the best!

Duramente(JPN)(King Kamehameha) became the first stallion in history to sire multiple dual-Classic winning fillies in Japan!!
Even the great Sunday Silence(USA) couldn't achieve this feat.
And Duramente did it in two consecutive years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Last year Stars on Earth(JPN) made the Oka Sho - Japanese Oaks double.
And this year Liberty Island(JPN) repeated the feat in much more dramatic fashion!!!!!!!

Liberty Island certainly had her running shoes on. I'm sure she will be heavily favored in the Shuka Sho.

If her health condition was reported fine and the turf condition at Kyoto was labelled better than ''good'', I believe that she would be sent off as either the 1/10 or the 1/5 favorite in the Shuka Sho, the final leg of the Triple Tiara in Japan.

But, personally, I'm not so obsessed with her tilt at the Shuka Sho on Oct 15h.
I do hope that her connections change their mind and send her immediately (bypassing the Shuka Sho) to the US to run in the BC Turf 2400m turf at Santa Anita on Nov 4th to BEAT THE BOYS!!!!!
