I would think that this youtube video is a must-see.
One may feel about Liberty Island's incredible acceleration through Yuga Kawada's jockey camera!!

Trainer Mitsumasa Nakauchida captured his first Classic victory with Liberty Island yesterday.
He has trained such G1 winners as Danon Premium, Danon Fantasy, Grenadier Guards, Serifos and Liberty Island.
Before becoming a JRA trainer, he worked for Robert Frankel in the states and was riding even Empire Maker in the morning when he was very young.
Great Steve Haskin referred to Mitsumasa Nakauchida in his column with Bobby Frankel's comments in 2003, too, after Nakauchida rode drills of both Empire Maker and Peace Rules before the Kentucky Derby.
''Empire Maker Breezes Six Furlongs in Final Work Before Derby, April 27, 2003''

Nakauchida always respects that great trainer and is thankful to him.
He remembers, ''Mr Frankel was always a teacher who gave (me) a second chance.''

Hopefully Mitsumasa Nakauchida will bring his best horse to the BC at some point!!

You are welcome, Starine!
I hope that Mitsumasa Nakauchida will follow in the footsteps of Katsuhiko Sumii and/or Yoshito Yahagi.
In the meantime, Liberty Island is now likely to be pointed to the Yushun Himba (Japanese Oaks) next even if some fans want her to run in the Tokyo Yushun (Japanese Derby).

“I’m hoping there’s more chance of her staying a mile and a half than I thought before the race,” he said. “It’s not that I don’t have confidence she’ll stay the distance, but you never know until you try. But the way she raced, we are happy to go to the Japanese Oaks at a mile and a half.”
“There are many Northern Farm-bred runners in the Derby, so you don’t want to be against each other because Northern Farm want to make stallions as well,” Nakauchida added. “I thought with this filly being a Northern Farm-bred horse, I felt we should take in the fillies’ races rather than take on the colts.”

I believe the Silver State who has sired three entrants in the Satsuki Sho is a different stallion than the Silver State (Hard Spun) who is standing at Claiborne. I've tried to find the pedigree for Silver State (JPN), but Bloodhorse keeps giving me links for Claiborne's Hard Spun son.
Could someone provide me with Japan's Silver State pedigree? TIA.
