Not a stallion but a clear contender for worst location to take a confirmation picture ever.
From the current Gavelhouse.com Plus Yearling Online Sale. A rare grandson of the great Sunline so with that pedigree a decent pic would get a good price.

As with most virtual sales here they have happily included leg pics

An extreme case of being "over at the knee," also known as "buck knees." I don't know if I've ever seen worse! :o
I ran marathons. I saw the Taj Mahal by Moonlight. I drove Highway 1 in a convertible. I petted Zenyatta.

There's another picture of him on PQ when he was younger. Doesn't look quite as severe.

What a horrible way to age. Also according to PQ they taxidermized his head.

i wonder how long his legs had been that horrible for. the tweet states that he died the year after, so at least 1 year. but when did it deteriorate like that?

I'm not sure if you can see the pics without an account (its free) but there are 4 total photos(including the one posted here already) on this page.

The horse is really weird looking. He has a sway back, messed up front legs, and his rear end is weird too(unless it just looks strange cause everything else is weird). But hey I guess he gets the last laugh since he is probably in every thoroughbred's pedigree in the world.

Nice shoulder, though. (Along with narrow girth as a negative.)

He has a section in Names In Pedigrees by Joe H. Palmer. He has a pretty interesting story. I was going to recommend the book but idk when it got so expensive. IDK if anyone is interested but I could give a short recap, its a few pages.

Hampton:
Race Record:
1874(2yo): (5)3-0-1
1875(3yo): (5)2-1-0
1876(4yo): (3) 1-0-0 [flat] ; (2)1-1-0 [hurdles]
1877(5yo): (10) 8-0-0
1888(6yo): (10) 5-2-0
Total: (33)19-3-1 [flat] and (2)1-1-0 [hurdles]
his sire Lord Clifden, his sire Newminster and his sire Touchstone were all St. Leger winners
he was the first foal of his dam Lady Langden, who would produce Epsom Derby winner Sir Bevys. Her dam Haricot produced St. Leger winner Caller Ou, and her dam Queen Mary produced Epsom Oaks & Derby winner Blink Bonnie and Blinkhoolie(who was Exterminator's male line ancestor 5th generation).

They note since he was a first foal he was always undersized and not much attention was paid to him, later they say even as a 4yo in July, he was able to pass as a young 2yo. He won his first 3 starts at 2. The first two he was racing unnamed, in his 2nd start, which was run under selling conditions, he was bought. His new owner then named him after Hampton Racecourse where he had ran when he bought him.

At 3, he won both 10f race on April 1st, the 18f Great Metropolitan Stakes on April 21 and finished 2nd on April 23rd losing by only a neck going 12f. He only made 2 more starts at 3, both unplaced efforts, one in October and one in November. When he returned as a 4yo, he raced in 2 hurdle races, finishing 2nd in the Grand National Hurdle at Croydon(this is something different than the current Grand National) and winning a maiden hurdle. There was a dispute between his owner and trainer at this time and the owner had to borrow money to pay the training bill to get the horse released. He was then sent to a new trainer and when he returned to flat racing in the Goodwood Stakes at 20f on July 26th. They tried to keep it a secret that he was in top form and he his starting odds were 40-1 but the secret got out and his odds fell to 3-2, he won the race by 3/4 of a length. He was unplaced in his remaining 2 starts at 4.

At 5 he was in top form, continuously carrying weight and giving away insane amounts some times. He started the year winning the 16f Northumberland Plate, was 4th in the Goodwood Stakes while carrying 131lbs, giving 33-41lbs to the 3 in front of him. Won the Goodwood Cup, he was then unplaced in the Great Ebor H. to a bunch of low weight horses while carrying 129lbs including one that was carrying 78lbs. (That right there is mind boggling, was the jockey a child???) He then won 6 in a row, the 21f Doncaster Cup, 12f Kelso Gold Cup, Her Majesty's Plate at Edinburgh in a walkover, another 20f Her Majesty's Plate at Edinburgh, the 16f Caledonian Centenary Cup, and his 3rd Her Majesty's Plate of the year.

At 6, he was sold to Lord Ellesmere. This is starting to look like deja vu. He started out the year winning Her Majesty's Plate at Northampton, then he won the 12f Epsom Gold Cup, the then finished 4th and last in the Ascot Gold Cup, 2nd in the Goodwood Stakes while giving 21lbs to the winner, he next won the you really aren't going to believe it, Her Majesty's Plate at York carrying 138lbs, next he was 2nd in the Doncaster Cup, then he won Her Majesty's Plate at Lichfield in a walkover. Then he won Her Majesty's Plate at Newmarket and finished the year with two 4th place finishes while giving huge weight allowances.

As a sire(I realized I was typing too much so try to keep this part brief but the horses that he is an ancestor of, I probably could have just wrote, nearly everyone):
Merry Hampton (Epsom Derby winner - sire of Merry Wife (dam of Santoi (not familiar but they note it) and Merry Token (granddam of Man O'War)
Bay Ronald (sire of Bayardo(sire of Gainsborough(sire of Hyperion and Mah Mahal(dam of Mahmoud), Dark Ronald, grand sire of Teddy, etc.)
Ayrshire (Epsom Derby winner - sire of Robert Le Diable (sire of Wrack) and Ballantrae(3rd dam of Equipoise)
Eothen - sire of Ethelbert who was the broodmare sire of HOTY/2x leading sire Chance Play and Belmont winner Chance Shot)
Reve d'Or - 1000 Guineas winner
Perdita - dam of MCH/MSW/4x leading sire Persimmon
Fota - grand dam of North Star(sire of Kentucky Derby winner Bubbling Over(who sired Kentucky Derby/Preakness winner Burgoo King)
Maid Marian - dam of Polymelus(sire of Phalaris almost every active male line traces back to him)

Sir Barton is the only US Triple Crown winner who Hampton does not appear in his pedigree.
