What a great idea for an award.

Angie and Sabrina Moore, the breeders of Knicks Go, are a great example

Owned by Vancouver’s John Gunther and his daughter, Tanya Gunther, Glennwood Farm, a breeding machine based just outside of Versailles, KY — self-described as a ‘boutique’ thoroughbred breeding operation — rarely has more than 20 broodmares.

One breeder I keep an eye on is Peter E Blum (Peter E. Blum Thoroughbreds, LLC). I'm not sure how many broodmares he owns, but what caught my eye was that one of the mares he owned, Mine Only, is a tail-female descendant of Masda, Man o' War's full sister.

There's an article about him and one of his horses, Academy Award, at https://www.thoroughbredracing.com/arti ... emy-award/

Carmel Road, National Treasure and Occult are current 3-year-olds bred by Blum and descended from Mine Only.
