IMO, the Japanese breeders have gambled on an American sprinter (Drefong) whose sire (Gio Ponti) was a stakes-winning runner on almost every surface and at longer distances. And it appears to be paying off. I hope Drefong's and Buena Vista's filly wins the Arc. :D 8-)

Davina looks like a Gypsy Horse. Sweet temperaments make them good fosters.

Drefong has turned out to be a very nice young stallion. I've been enjoying following his progeny.

That is one obscure broodmare sire, was only an allowance winner and was gelded at some point. He only had 25 foals but did have 1 SW, who is supposedly at stud. The son, Guipago, only covered mares in 2016(only had one foal that managed a 0 equibase rating in all 3 starts), but is advertised as a 2023 stallion on the registered Ontario stallion page. Kind of wild.

f. Dubawi - (G2W) Significant Form, by Creative Cause

Her first two have been by Dubawi, both fillies. I wonder if they'll stick with Dubawi this year or go a different route.

Just curious. How did Sistercharlie end up foaling at Coolmore Ireland? Dubawi stands at Dalham Hall in England for Darley. Did Peter Brandt, by any chance, sell her to Coolmore and I just missed it? The last auction note in the comments in PQ (for what that's worth) is the yearling sale at Arqana Deauville in 2015 where Brandt purchased her.

I'm just confused by this a little bit. Please forgive my ignorance about how things like this work. I appreciate the help!

TIA!!

Peter Brant uses Claiborne in Kentucky, Coolmore in Ireland, and Haras des Capucines in France. He does not own his own farms.

I was in process of editing my message and got interrupted. I added the farms he uses above.
