No, Rogueish has been there a couple years. No foals racing yet.
Couldn’t be Mshawish. Has there been a farm this mysterious with their debuting studs before? Personally I’ve never seen a teaser post
it has to be Mutasaabeq though because in the link Flanders sent he is listed as standing at Pleasant Acres

I’ve got no idea. I highly doubt though it’ll be someone else. That would be shocking if it is

I'm surprised they are moving a stallion after the start of the breeding season. And also that Rombauer never got a stud deal. Has there been any update on that? I think last article I read was in May.

Old Friends made a post over the weekend that Alfred Guy(also known as junior) has passed away. Junior was a stallion handler who worked with afternoon Deelite during his stallion career. He also worked with you and i

my guess is that he wasn't getting a "good enough" book for an IM standing in Kentucky.

Yeah, but surely he had SOME mares booked to him. His stud deal was announced almost 6 months ago. Why not move him AFTER breeding season? Kinda sucks for the people who were planning to use him in KY.

yeah... hadn't thought about that. i'm sure a lot of people weren't happy. i guess they could redirect some of them to their other stallions, but not all. hopefully we'll hear more.

If Rombauer can't get a stud deal then it must be because his owners have way too lofty expectations and refuse to settle. I'm not trying to be mean or anything.

I've seen it before but it's usually something like, "We are thrilled to announce we have acquired a new stallion! Name and details will be released at a later date."

Maybe Pleasant Acres was the "underbidder" so to speak and they got him if something fell through. Maybe Darby Dan still has a few shares. Who knows.

So what happens to the mares who were booked to him? Do they get to pick one of the farms different studs? Or do they follow him down to florida

Just trying to read between the lines on the BH article, I would venture he had basically no mares booked to him. They're moving him because PH's owners are committing mares to him and Florida "is a better fit"....

Breeders responded well and he has been booked full. Really happy to see breeders are supporting him and his very turf pedigree, as I really like his sire and broodmare sire.

This is my opinion. He was a G3SW on the turf, yes he also won a listed stakes on the dirt, but the only reason he was even offered in Kentucky was his sire. I really feel like if he was by another other stallion that wouldn't have been an option unless he had a owner strongly supporting him. Then add in the ton of new Kentucky stallions, as noted in the article, and he was probably getting very little interest.

He won a G2, was precocious and good looking. Whether it was deserved or not, he had a lot of hype around him as a 2YO. He's a son of the top sire and was priced attractively. I guess I'm surprised he didn't generate much interest. Of course, you can breed to the proven Goldencents for $10,000. But any other Into Mischief son in KY is going to be way more expensive, unproven or both.

I kind of remember the hype when he broke his maiden. Could it be that him not being syndicated and thus not having a group of breeders willing to support him made other breeders not want to use him? I'm not sure how much stuff like that matters to breeders, especially in a first year stallion. But there are a lot of stallions going to stud in Kentucky in that 10k and under price range this year, maybe its just too many for that price range? If Nashville, who never won a Graded Stakes can get supported like it appears he is, its surprising a GSW by Into Mischief didn't get enough interest that he had to be moved after the breeding season started.

There are 4 Into Mischief's that stand for 7.5k, (Highly Motivated(new in 2023), Rowayton(I don't think anyone really bred to him), Maximus Mischief, and Instagrand), and a grandson at 5k(By My Standards).
