And it shows on the JC that he is still at Laurel Park, too. Hmmmmm....

3xW Incriminate (Unbridled's Song - Roll Over Baby) was rescued from a kill pen in early February. He was a stallion in Louisiana for several years but sired few foals, last registered in 2014. Pedigreequery lists him as having stood at "Fanlew Farms" but I don't know when this was added and if he was there his entire stud career. Most of his foals were born in Louisiana and Alabama.
He is a sibling to several horses who also stood in Kentucky and regional markets: Sing Baby Sing, Roll Hennessey Roll, Werblin, etc. He sold for $1.5 million as a yearling.

I think it's a pedigree issue. Brilliant as he was, his sire Paynter is not commercial and the whole Awesome Again/Ghostzapper line isn't. I think breeders are doubtful that he can produce his speed and talent. California Chrome had a similar issue--no pedigree.Flanders wrote: ↑Thu Feb 16, 2023 2:20 amIt has to be lack of interest and very poor interest if they had to cut his fee in half. Its normal for some stallions' fees to come down a little in their 2nd year but that is a big drop, considering they had advertised him at 30k.brunanas wrote: ↑Thu Feb 16, 2023 1:12 am viewtopic.php?p=275136#p275136
it seems Knicks Go is actually standing for $15k. there's an ad for him listing him at that price on the most recent edition of the TDN and his price at the stallion registry is now also set at $15k. does anyone know what happened?
I ran marathons. I saw the Taj Mahal by Moonlight. I drove Highway 1 in a convertible. I petted Zenyatta.

https://m.facebook.com/FanlewFarms/phot ... tid=Nif5oz Fanlew was the last place he stood at. but i can't find anything else on that farm, i don't even know if it's still operating. their last post came in 2013. the website listed on their page doesn't exist anymore. there's an email and phone number listed as well but i doubt these work.Mylute wrote: ↑Thu Feb 16, 2023 5:48 pm 3xW Incriminate (Unbridled's Song - Roll Over Baby) was rescued from a kill pen in early February. Yeah its definitely non-commercial pedigree, I said the same in the 2023 foals thread. Its just weird that he could get 150 mares his first year at 30k and then they had to cut his fee in half his 2nd year to get a decent sized book. But using CC as example, he started at 40k, they only had to drop him to 35k his 2nd year and he got more mares. Ofc they sold him to Japan later that year.Diver52 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 17, 2023 1:03 amI think it's a pedigree issue. Given that he spent 90% of his saddling ring/post parade time fully… excited, I think:brunanas wrote: ↑Thu Feb 16, 2023 3:58 pm safe to say the Strad is enjoying his new job. https://twitter.com/heyarnoldb/status/1 ... FjPTw&s=19
A) it’s a miracle he stayed interested in racing for as long as he did
B) he is going to be very well suited to this new job

Maybe he channeled all that stallion energy into his races? It's sort of old racetrack wisdom that intact horses tend to be more competitive (in a "no way in hell this other horse is getting by me because I am the herd master" way) than geldings. And of course the testosterone helps.Northport wrote: ↑Fri Feb 17, 2023 3:15 amGiven that he spent 90% of his saddling ring/post parade time fully… excited, I think:brunanas wrote: ↑Thu Feb 16, 2023 3:58 pm safe to say the Strad is enjoying his new job. https://twitter.com/heyarnoldb/status/1 ... He does seem relatively easy to handle and well-mannered aside from, er, that.

... why? stop acting like Korea is the only place that slaughters stallions. literally just eight posts above there are news of a stallion found in a killpen in the US. are you going to say "oh that's sad" time a horse retires to stud in the US?SukiSatsuki wrote: ↑Fri Feb 17, 2023 7:00 pmOh that’s sadMylute wrote: ↑Fri Feb 17, 2023 12:26 pm Courvoisier, Son Of Take Charge Brandi, To Enter Stud In Korea
