I just learned the nature of the injury sustained by SPUN INTENDED in his last race. They said at the time non-life threatening. I just read an update saying he is healing from a condylar fracture. That is more serious than the injury sounded from the very little that was said at the time. He apparently is doing well. Good to hear, though the severity of the injury is very unfortunate. Thank goodness for Mike Smith who really knew what he was doing when he pulled the colt up. Likely saved his life. wow. Thanks, Mike!

BOLD JOURNEY romped by 6 lengths in an allowance at Aqueduct today. Race # 8. His record is now 12-3-4-0. Good looking horse for sure.

First news on HARD TO FIGURE since his last race. He had a workout today at Santa Anita: 3/5/2023 Dirt 6F 1:12.00 Handily 1/2

I am guessing he is still with Baffert, so not on the Derby Trail.

Seems SPARKLE BLUE will race in 2023, after winning a G3 and getting a G1 placing in last 2 races of 2022 during her 3 year old season. She's a half to G1 winner Shared Account.

TWO PHIL'S got a 101 BSF for his Jeff Ruby win on Saturday. Highest BSF for a 3yo this year. He came home in 12.3, which is quite good for 9 furlongs. He could have a real shot in the Derby.

Hard Spun has really proven to be a good stallion. Two Phil's is great and there are probably plenty more good ones to come.
