First foal for Standardbred legend Bulldog Hanover, who serviced 80 mares last spring prior to his historic racing season.

Standardbred names tend to fall into five categories:
-really really good (Foiled Again, Enough Talk, Test of Faith)
-really really bad (Googoo Gaagaa, Wiggle it Jiggleit, Gimpanzee, Pet Rock)
-puns on sire/dam name (San Pail, Eternal Camnation, Arch Madness)
-random noun or adjective + farm/family suffix or prefix (all the Hanovers, Seelsters, Rose Runs, Yankees etc)
-long and unwieldy (Somebeachsomewhere, Deweycheatumnhowe, Tellitlikeitis)
-normal people names (Sweet Lou, Lucky Jim, Sebastian K)
"Deb" is in the last category.

I think Pet Rock is a cute name haha.

AQHA racing names (and also just in general) tend to be either unrelated to the parents' names or "CBH Boon a Jessa Chicks."

Breeder. All stud fees must be paid before a mare goes through an auction.

No. Once the mare has been sold at auction, the stands/nurses part of the contract is null and void. I think this is pretty standard language included in TB stallion service contracts.
