He is pointing to the Pegasus World Cup Turf(G1) on January 28th.

Good luck to him!!
He has to improve his resume!! ;)
Wondering who will be his major rivals in that G1.
Colonel Liam, Decorated Invader, Shirl's Speight and Speaking Scout, according to this article.

Thank you!!
I would think that Ivar has a very good shot, even if the two-time defending champ and the young Hollywood Derby winner will especially be tough to beat.

He was a full brother to champion Agnes Tachyon(JPN).
May he rest in peace.

''Shadai Bluegrass Farm'' is one the ranches Teruya Yoshida owns in Hokkaido.
So it can be considered as a part of ''Shadai Farm'''s operation.
Whereas ''Shadai Farm'', Teruya Yoshida's main farm, is located in Chitose, ''Shadai Bluegrass Farm'' is in Hidaka District and also called ''Hidaka Bluegrass Farm''.
That's all what I know.

London Moon (Agnes Gold — Beauty Harlan, by Harlan's Holiday) won the Gr. III GP José Buarque de Macedo, the main prep race for the Gr. I GP Estado do Rio de Janeiro, the first leg of the brazilian triple crown, to be run on february 12. last year's champion two-year-old colt has now won 6 of 7 starts, his only "loss" being a dq for interference on his previous start. not surprisingly, he is the favorite for this season's triple crown :)
as said by JCB writer Fernando Lopes, "watching London Moon run is a pleasure for the lover of the sport of kings".

Japan’s legendary jumper Oju Chosan(JPN)(Stay Gold) settled in Versailles Resort Farm, Hokkaido.
He will stand for a fee of JPY 1,000,000 (about US$ 7,700.).

obviously not surprisingly, London Moon (Agnes Gold) took the Gr. I GP Rio de Janeiro with ease, starting his hunt for the Triple Crown. there was an inquiry made by the rider of the 2nd horse, but the result stood. the 1600m race was ran in 1:36.73.

Thanks SO MUCH for the update, Brunanas! :D

London Moon(BRZ) is one of the Sunday Silence descendants I'm rooting for with great passion right now (along with Equinox)!!
I've just looked into his pedigree today.
He has the famous Sunday Silence - Storm Cat cross.
Needless to say, the Sunday Silence - Kingmambo cross saw many success in Japan, too (Almond Eye etc).
And the Kingmambo - Storm Cat cross is represented by Japan's best ever sprinter Lord Kanaloa(King Kamehameha).
Sunday Silence x Storm Cat x Kingmambo --- it looks like a beautiful triangle to me!!
I'm not an expert at all. But I guess that London Moon is bred to demonstrate his flashy turn of foot especially on the firm turf.
1:36.73 was relatively slow for the 1600m turf.
Was the turf soft yesterday at Gavea?
I will not be surprised if he improves his performance further in the second leg of the Triple Crown on a firmer going.

Image

And I strongly hope that London Moon will follow in the footsteps of Bal a Bali(BRZ)(Put it Back).
Is the any chance he will be shipped to race in the states at some point?

the turf was listed as heavy yesterday! and yes i agree he should do even better next out, especially because it will be a longer distance that i believe he will quite like (same for the 3rd leg - even longer. it goes 1600m, 2000m and 2400m).
i haven't read anything regarding plans to race in the us, but i wouldn't be too surprised. i would say perhaps finish the Triple Crown and race in the GP Brasil (WAYI into the Breeders' Cup) and then he might come over. but given Bal a Bali's "state" at stud rn, i wouldn't say that he would stay in the US to stand if he does race there.
thank you for all the insight on the pedigree! love seeing things like that :D

Mosienko is a useful 6yo mare by Hat Trick running in New York. I'm not sure if she's been mentioned here before.

Ivar(BRZ)(Agnes Gold) has been retired from racing.
He goes back to Argentina to stand at Haras Carampangue.

https://www.bloodhorse.com/horse-racing ... -argentina
Agnes Gold had a truly international stud career. He started out at Shadai Farm in Japan, which bred him. He was then exported in 2007 to Florida, where he stood at Lambholm South for two seasons. The stallion then found the right spot in Brazil. His Southern Hemisphere produce record shows 14% black-type winners (60) from named foals, which include 49 group winners and seven champions.

Ivar contributes the highly successful paternal line of Sunday Silence (Halo) through the formidable Agnes Gold, a very successful stallion in South America, without forgetting that the branch became famous in our country for Southern Halo, an emblem of world breeding.
Ivar's campaign is over. We will no longer get excited about his great victories, but now the dream is that his children inherit his unique ability. fantastic…

The news about the retirement of the champion Ivar and his return to Argentina to begin his campaign as a stallion in the Haras Carampangue (informed yesterday in scoop by Turf Diario) caused a shock within the turf planet, with most of the important foreign media reflecting it, and the joy of fans and breeders in South America for the possibility of once again having one of the best horses of recent times in this part of the world with us.
Says Ignacio: “First I want to thank Stud RDI and all his people enormously for trusting us to develop Ivar as a stallion. He is a very big bet and it comes at a time when we made a place to have a horse. Without a doubt, it is a luxury that we give ourselves”.

Then, the breeder, owner of Haras La Manija, where Blue Prize (Pure Prize) was bred and where Blue Stripe (Equal Stripes) was born, for example, added: "We have been looking for a horse with Sunday Silence's Japanese genetics for a long time." and good prospects are impossible for us to get.
In Carampangue's broodmares there are many daughters of Orpen, who won the last two statistics of maternal grandparents, and several of them will be covered from next August by Ivar. “Physically it cannot be more beautiful, correct, big, selected in Argentina. He was champion in our country and ratified abroad. We plan to give him many of our best mares, bet on him”, concludes Pavlovsky, hoping that many important breeders will join the project of developing crack as a stallion through the acquisition of shares.

The star Ivar returns to Argentina and for Haras Carampangue it is a new enormous opportunity to shine. For Argentine horse riding in general, the return of one of her prodigal sons...

That's very sad news and a huge loss.
Heart's Cry(JPN), one of the greatest sons of Sunday Silence(USA), won the G1s Arima Kinen and the Dubai Sheema Classic.
At stud, he sired 44 individual grade/group winners to date including Just a Way(JPN), One and Only(JPN), Suave Richard(JPN), Yoshida(JPN), Lys Gracieux(JPN), Do Deuce(JPN) etc.
Yoshida, who is now standing at WinStar Farm, became the first Japanese-bred G1 winner on the US dirt in the Woodward.
