Dubawi finally claimed his first sires’ championship in Britain and Ireland. It’s the first time since 1989 that the leading sire didn’t come from the ND sire line.

Leading sires by state for 2022:
https://www.drf.com/news/leading-sires-state-state-2022
Its pretty much just a list of who was the leading sire but I found it pretty neat. Of course, I love the "Oh I never heard of that stallion, have to see what his pedigree is". Quite a few won by being the only stallion in the state with a foal to race. But taking some of the stallions ages into account, I would imagine quite a few aren't around anymore. It was interesting to see, South Dakota's leading sire was Seeking Beauty. He is an unraced 1/2(3/4?) brother to Jolie's Halo, who was born when his dam was 26.

i wish we could see their runners on equibase. wanted to see their individual records, but i suppose with the ones from smaller racing states won't be having runners in 2023 for a while if at all for the tab to show up.Flanders wrote: ↑Tue Jan 03, 2023 8:23 am Leading sires by state for 2022:

If you go onto Bloodhorse's leading sires list and change to each state you'd be able to get at least one name, I know its not the same as having the list on Equibase. I went to Equibase myself to try and see how old the foal racing by Prospector Street was and well you know how that went. So I did go and get her name on Bloodhorse and looked her up. She is a now 10yo mare, who has raced almost exclusively at Presque Isle, named Abbey's Snow White.brunanas wrote: ↑Tue Jan 03, 2023 8:50 ami wish we could see their runners on equibase. wanted to see their individual records, but i suppose with the ones from smaller racing states won't be having runners in 2023 for a while if at all for the tab to show up.Flanders wrote: ↑Tue Jan 03, 2023 8:23 am Leading sires by state for 2022:

I just liked having all the stallion names in one place to look at in the DRF article, as opposed to having to go through and change the state constantly.

Mishriff has had a “minor setback” that has landed him on stall rest. He won’t be able to cover mares till mid March.

10 y/o stallion Too Discreet (Discreet Cat - To Marquet) is entered in the Keeneland January HORA Sale.
He is a 2x SW and sibling to G1W Discreet Marq. It seems like he's been standing privately in Florida.
Also, 12 y/o G2W Wildcat Red (D'Wildcat- Racene) is entered. He has been standing at Buck Pond Farm.

The duo were standing at Kunigal Stud Farm in the Tumakuru district of Karnataka in the south-west of India.

does anyone know what happened to Pneumatic? he was supposed to stand his first season in Argentina this year and was being extremely well regarded as evidenced by this article:
is there anything stating what might have happened or is the information on the studbook incorrect? perhaps they meant 2021?
but i went to look at the reports of mares bred for this year and although very few stallions have had theirs submitted, i noted that Pneumatic was only imported to Argentina last month...? https://www.studbook.org.ar/ejemplares/ ... umatic-usaThere hasn't been a sire in recent times that we have given such a nice debut book to like we're doing with Pneumatic, probably since Equalize [entered stud in 1990]. We are convinced we were very lucky to have gotten him. He is by Uncle Mo, an important racehorse, sire and sire of sires, and out of a Tapit mare, which will give us an interesting outcross for our mares. (...) We will be giving him 20 of 30 of our best mares.

I think they must just put the import/export dates in there whenever they feel like it and the dates don't really have any meaning beyond the year(and the year is kind of questionable too, as it is in my example). I say this because the article you posted was from July and says, he is already in Argentina and was going to start covering in August. Plus when I was trying to find where Hit It A Bomb went to, I looked at his import/export on the Argentina studbook and the dates made no sense.
https://www.studbook.org.ar/ejemplares/ ... a-bomb-usa
Like it says he was imported 4 days before he was exported(this would have been 21/22 covering year) and that he covered 92 mares in February in those 4 days, don't think that can be right.
