Coast of Roan became the second horse in three days to collapse and die at Del Mar after running in a turf race. Coast of Roan finished last in race 3 Sunday, and after he returned to the main track he collapsed in front of the grandstand. On Friday in race 5, Kazuhiko pulled up in the stretch and did not finish. After he walked off the track, he collapsed and died. Coast of Roan’s trainer was Jeff Mullins; Kazuhiko’s trainer was Peter Eurton.

During, a stallion by Cherokee Run o/o Blading Saddle (Blade), has a death report on-file. He once stood stud at Claiborne Farm before relocating to West Virginia. Last book of mares was covered in 2019.

when he was at claiborne, he was the one i was most excited to see. one year, his groom let me brush him down before he was shown to the group. i have a shoe and a lock of his mane, too. i knew he was starting to get up there in age, but i'm still kinda sad to see this.

Leadem in Ken, the apparent namesake of Leadem Farms in Texas in Arkansas, is listed as deceased on the Bloodhorse Stallion Register.

Leadem in Ken (by Sky Mesa) won 3 stakes and placed in six in a career of 40 starts. He is a nephew of Kitten's Joy.

He is not listed on the mares bred report for 2022, and in 2021 bred 7 mares with one live foal reported.

Thecradlewillrock(by Red Rocks(IRE) - Misty North, by North Light(IRE), brokedown and was euthanized in April. 1/2 to War Like Goddess

I found that when I was looking for what happened to Misty North, she wasn't bred for 2020 or 2021. I had missed that she was an out in the 2022 Keeneland November sale at first and found that sad news.

I can't believe that both ouija board AND Goldikova are gone. I'm really going to miss ouija board and I still badly miss Goldikova. I feel spoiled in alot of ways that we got to enjoy two such spectacular turf fillies so close together. Within a span of a couple years of each other basically. That doesn't happen often

According to Korean Jockey Club records, Japanese G1W Sadamu Patek (Fuji Kiseki × Summer Night City) died September 14, 2022.

Sadamu Patek won the 2012 G1 Mile Championship, two G2s, and two G3s. He was also second in the 2011 G1W Satsuki Sho.

He stood at Yushun Stallion Station for a few years before being sold to South Korea in 2016.

He is a half-brother to 2018 G1 Victoria Mile winner Jour Polaire.
