Condylar fractures can be repaired (Mastery suffered one in the Bob Lewis several years ago) so that's a lot better than sesamoids!
I ran marathons. I saw the Taj Mahal by Moonlight. I drove Highway 1 in a convertible. I petted Zenyatta.

My fingers are crossed for him. His perked ears as he crossed the wires always made me smile.

Has this been confirmed? I also read on Twitter someone said was a soft tissue injury? A lot of speculation.. hoping for the best for him.

I just got back to my hotel room from the track. I didn’t even know Domestic Spending and Epicenter had been hurt until I came on here. They didn’t say anything at Keeneland , at least not that I heard. I hope they both recover.

It would have been so classy if someone in that winner's circle had said something like, "Sending positive thoughts to Epicenter's connections," even though all you could see was the ambulance and no information. We know that everyone was thinking "Thank goodness that wasn't my horse."

Domestic spending will more than likely not recover he’s got a really bad break unfortunatelyHB1994 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 05, 2022 7:34 pm I just got back to my hotel room from the track. Yay! I mean don't get me wrong, it sucks that it happened. But those are good news (even better than just one sesamoid cracked). Fingers crossed for him!brunanas wrote: ↑Sat Nov 05, 2022 7:08 pm lateral condylar fracture. undergoes surgery tomorrow.

Looks like the 8k auction price for Flightline 's halter turned out to be a bargain. The winning bidder also got 5k from him winning the Classic

I've found it easier to tear up tickets at 8/1 instead of 8/5.

Glad to hear that Epicenter, is, well, still alive. Great news that he'll be having surgery in the morning, and I hope it goes perfectly.
I'm worried about Domestic Spending- not sure if anyone remembers Spanish Fern, but she died a day after fracturing her pelvis in the Mile because of an internal hemorrhage. I know pelvic factures are survivable, but... hard not to worry.
121 is of course really good- with that, Gun Runner's 117, American Pharoah and Arrogate's 120 in this race... maybe horses these days actually can get 10f?

I know it's hypothetical (Flightline is dirt; Frankel is turf) but has anyone done a computer comparison of them using their stats? They both have similar racing styles--really high cruising speed, then another turbocharged gear that leaves everyone in their dust, while they barely have a hair out of place.
I'm sure Sir Henry Cecil, Frankel's trainer, would have enjoyed Flightline's race today.

Yep but I don’t like most fans mostly the crazy ones who idolize the horses like their gods, comparing them to long dead horses who would more than ate them alive anyways. Also I liked the distaffMiss Woodford wrote: ↑Sat Nov 05, 2022 9:13 pmDo you even like horse racing?
