War Like Goddess did well despite being stuck behind horses. Rebel's Romance was too good though! Stone Age has a cool face.

Another Godolphin win, this time it is a gelding.

WLG definitely the best US turf filly...but will she get snuffed at the Eclipses again this year?CoronadosQuest wrote: ↑Sat Nov 05, 2022 4:46 pm War Like Goddess did well despite being stuck behind horses. Rebel's Romance was too good though! Stone Age has a cool face.

I guess it’s high time the US start breeding better turf horses… and, uh, supporting them at stud!BaroqueAgain1 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 05, 2022 4:47 pm Another Godolphin win, this time it is a gelding.

And not sending them to Japan if they are a turf sire.Izvestia wrote: ↑Sat Nov 05, 2022 4:50 pmI guess it’s high time the US start breeding better turf horses… and, uh, supporting them at stud!BaroqueAgain1 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 05, 2022 4:47 pm Another Godolphin win, this time it is a gelding.

Hopefully not, she has that G1 winner against males and I think this effort will count for a bit more than In Italian's second. I'd be very sad if she didn't get it, she's a wonderful mare. Idk who wins male turf horse, Modern Games maybe?Mylute wrote: ↑Sat Nov 05, 2022 4:48 pmWLG definitely the best US turf filly...but will she get snuffed at the Eclipses again this year?CoronadosQuest wrote: ↑Sat Nov 05, 2022 4:46 pm War Like Goddess did well despite being stuck behind horses. Pleased to see Channel Maker running his heart out all the way around with that big giraffe stride. He ran credibly for his amazing sixth BC start! Love that old guy.
She was pretty strong early into a pretty moderate pace; I think he was trying to back her up and tip her out, but it ended up backfiring when he couldn't get room. I don't really blame the ride here, and she saved all the ground, but it does seem like Rosario maybe doesn't quite gel with her.

My stream suddenly stopped loading on both my phone and laptop. I'm assuming that means they're shutting it down?

I love how NBC told people to get over it if they are offended by people enjoying Flightline

They didn't say that, they said it was objectively the greatest American performance since the Belmont. Which is just silly. Forget Seattle Slew, Bid, etc., Arrogate ran like five years ago.CoronadosQuest wrote: ↑Sat Nov 05, 2022 5:04 pm I love how NBC told people to get over it if they are offended by people enjoying Flightline
I get wanting to hype him up for the general crowd, and I usually like Layden, but antagonizing actual fans like that is just annoying.

The weird thing is that I've seen a lot of racing fans and pundits from Europe view him like that too, I guess because colts with short brilliant careers have been the norm there for a while now.Tessablue wrote: ↑Sat Nov 05, 2022 5:08 pmThey didn't say that, they said it was objectively the greatest American performance since the Belmont. I will not compare Flightline to Secretariat.
That doesn't mean I don't enjoy watching him. He has a prodigious talent, but a horse who has run only five times can not be compared to previous great horses who ran more. sometimes a LOT more.
IMHO the comparison to Ghostzapper is the only one that makes any sense.
