No Appleby effect in this race; everyone is just betting Golden Pal.
Hipica TV is streaming it - though in spanish

I like seeing a Madaket Stables horse win, they're among the few flat owners that support jumps racing in the US.

Just as everyone predicted!

Those exotics are going to be gigantic...

Also, RIP to the "don't bet Euros in turf sprints" angle lol.

Yeah it's so dumb. I'm watching on the official website for now.

Love Caravel- she always tries hard. Golden Pal has not had good luck breaking from the gate in big races.

alright, so hypothetically speaking - if LIG wins today, but with Flightline on the board, who earns champion older male honors and possibly HOTY along with it?

Give it to Jackie! I know it wont happen but I wish! If Jackie wins the BC Sprint, he will have 4 G1 wins this year.

Golden Pal has now had two very slow/inattentive breaks from the gate with Irad aboard...in his two most important races. If GP weren't being retired, I wonder if he would be getting a new jockey? :?

My super spicy ultra mega flaming hot take is that Flightline shouldn't win HOY regardless with just 3 races in a season (giving weight in none of them, I might add) but if LiG wins the Classic over him it shouldn't even be a question. Or as mentioned, Jackie's Warrior should he win the Sprint.

Are my ears fooling me? Do I hear Andy Serling and Mike Joyce commentating on the FanDrool feed. Yay! I love having all the best analysts on for these races, no matter which channel they are usually on. :D

Good lord that horse was so much the best, awesome win. Really special moment with the announcers choking up afterwards.

Cyberknife likely would have been DQ'd otherwise, but it's better this way.
