Entries and post times for the Breeders Crown
Tonight (8/28) BC races are 6-9, https://standardbredcanada.ca/racing/en ... wbsbsn.dat
Saturday (8/29) Open Pace is race 9 post-time 10:47pm https://standardbredcanada.ca/racing/en ... wbsbsn.dat

Mohawk has a great website with live streaming, free programs, replays up like 10 minutes after the race etc https://woodbine.com/mohawk/
Both nights will also be on Fox Sports 2.

Also this promo lol https://www.instagram.com/p/CkOuVFzpEvE/
Also Bulldog Hanover has his own cocktail now https://twitter.com/WoodbineSB/status/1 ... 4281859074

so Fox Sports 2 is doing the Bulldog Hanover-Flightline comparison thing because of course they are and the clips of Bulldog are all of him in races, but Flightline's part just has the 2 seconds of him in the Met Mile, 2 seconds of his Pacific Classic win and the rest is slow-mo of him in workouts, him in the winner's circle, him in the sales ring as a yearling because there just isn't enough actual racing footage of him lol.

TONIGHT:
A lot of good harness racing along with the Bulldog

PPs here https://promos.drf.com/mohawk21
Watch live here https://woodbine.com/mohawk/watch-races/
or here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1HNp_4jfW2w
or if you want to watch a cut-down version of the post-parade and winner's circle celebration because that 20 minutes between harness races must be filled by some $5k claimer at Charles Town there's Fanduel/FS2 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bkz46J9N50k

King of the North goes to the front and wins the 3yo Trot in stakes, track and Canadian record of 1:50.3. Interesting side note - Wesley Ward is a part owner in the colt.

Pebble Beach blows away the field in the 3yo Colt Pace, Bythemissal just was too far back early to mount much of a challenge. Should put an end to Bythemissal's owner/trainer's claim that Bythemissal would beat Bulldog Hanover though we'll have to wait till the TVG Pace to (hopefully) see that matchup for real.

Danish wonder Ecurie D wins the Open Trot!

Next up the Open Pace with Bulldog looking to get revenge on Allywag!

still lol at the Flightline - Bulldog Hanover piece, Bulldog has as many starts this month as Flightline is gonna have all year so maaaybe this isn't a fair comparison.

The track seems to be pretty fast tonight, with other races setting some records. Will we see Bulldog really lay it down...and break his own record? 8-)

Track isn't particularly fast, the horses are. Records fall all the time with Standardbreds so it'd be more unusual if there weren't any set tonight. Track/Canadian (they might as well be the same thing lol) record is certainly on the line but it's probably too cold for a 7/8 world record.

I know I shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth with this FS2 coverage but lord, would it kill them to show a post parade for the feature race of the Breeders' Crown instead of the nightcap at Charles Town?

FanDrool didn't show Charlestown...for them it's Los Alamitos. :P
Bulldog just took the heart out of the rest of that field. Don't think Allywag ever wants to see that pacing stud go by him easy like that again.

And a gentleman as always in the extended winner's circle celebrations. They may have to find a spot to race him between now and the TVG Pace, give him 4 weeks off and he'll be tearing the barn down

I was right, he'll be at Rosecroft on the 10th! Dangit now I have to go up and see him in person...

I tuned in for Bulldog Hanover's victory. Can't say I know much about harness racing, but I could tell his motion was different from the others. It felt like watching a Standardbred version of American Pharaoh. Maybe his stride has more suspension? Or his knees go flat a split second earlier than everyone else's?

We were thinking of trying to go to the Meadowlands to see Bulldogs last race. Can anyone recommend a nice hotel close to the track? Looking for a clean, quiet room preferably with breakfast and a shuttle to the track. Thanks!

Air BNBs might be worth looking into. Those can get expensive but you can usually find one that are cheaper than the average hotel. If I go to the Iroquois next year I will probably so that.

I've found it easier to tear up tickets at 8/1 instead of 8/5.

His last race will be the TVG Pace on November 26. A few weeks ago his trainer was saying that there was a teeny tiny chance he might race next year but that was probably wishful thinking.
