SPARKLE BLUE rather easily won the G3 Rubicon Valley View Stakes (race #8) today at Keeneland. This is her 2nd stakes win, and 1st graded win. Her record is now 7-4-1-0. MY PHILLY TWIRL finished 8th in the same race after tracking the leader for most of it. So, this is another graded winner for HARD SPUN.

Sounds like ALOHA WEST is a go unless unforeseen circumstances. His stud deal was just announced and the fee will be revealed after the Breeders Cup.

Yeah, I posted a link above to the story of his stud deal. He will be one of just 2 horses at that farm as best I could tell. Small operation. I hope he gets some decent mares.

I think it's nuts to enter ALOHA...with just 3 or 4 works off a four-month layoff? Throwing him to the wolves. They could post the fee now. I doubt he has a chance in hell being so under prepared. Not fair to the horse. Upsets me.

TWO PHIL'S won the G3 Street Sense Stakes (race 10) by 5 1/4 lengths at Churchill Downs today. His record is now 5-3-0-0.

Noteworthy win. Hard Spun is not known for producing 2yo stakes winners, let alone graded stakes winners. The only other 2yo graded winner I can recall off hand is GREEN LIGHT GO (rip). There may be others, but few and far between. And this was at Churchill Downs, of all places. And in the slop.
