A few days ago you called chromies "subhuman idiots."

Based on your posting history, I must say that's a strong case of the pot calling the kettle black. :D
Have you seen yourself in a mirror babe ;)

MyLute, your accurate observations are for naught.

California-based trainer Howard Zucker has passed away. He had open heart surgery several days before his untimely passing:

Howard Zucker was also the trainer of his best runner, Crafty C. T. I remember seeing that horse in-person, so I decided to do some research on where he ultimately ended up. Crafty C. T. initially stood stud in New York, then moved to California, and was exported to Brazil in 2009. He died on June 1, 2018 after an illness:

According to the CTBA:

Gem Heist, who moved to Rancho San Miguel this year, died at some point this year. He is not on the 2022 report of mares bred. He was an unraced son of Tapit/Careless Jewel.

July Child, a winner of 17 from 60 starts, also died this year. He was by Distorted Humor and a grandson of Christmas Past and Yule Log.

Dead Solid Perfect, perhaps the oldest living thoroughbred on record, died age 39 years and 188 days on November 8.

The article mentions Prospect Point, but depending on when he died, I think Roxie's Ringer may be the real record holder.

maybe someone better w genetics can help, but it mentions him going grey and that it may be related to old grey genes back in his line... but dont older horses just grey out like humans? i think dogs do it to? i didnt think it was "grey horse in your pedigree" related, but i'm interested in learning more.

Mammals definitely gray out as they age, horses, dogs, cats, etc. but the graying is usually concentrated around the face. DSP turned grayish because he was 39, not because he had a gray grandparent.

When I read that in the article I thought "lol no."

Yeah, you can see in that one pic that he has gray patches all over his body, which is also common for elderly horses, but you see it's concentrated to his head and points. This is nothing more than age on a geriatric bay horse :D

Some gray horses take a long time to turn "white," but some will still retain darker gray points and dapples well into advanced ages.
