I for one am genuinely stunned that Mor Spirit got 100.

Tourist is a shuttle stallion to South America (I believe). I have no idea how successful he has been down there, but I wouldn't be shocked if he just stays there after this season.

All the Winstar and Spendthrift numbers you typed are 2021 numbers. The 2022 report of mares bred isn't out yet on the Jockey Club's site. Probably next week it will be out. The only thing released this week was 2021 breeding to 2022 foals.

He used to shuttle to Chile but he hasn't shuttled since the 2018 SH Breeding season. He wasn't popular in the SH and has 80 foals total, 42 in 2018 and 38 in 2019. He has one SW, a G3SW(his only graded/group winner). While he has 3 listed SWers in the US. I don't know who is going to want to stand him and I really think that is why he hasn't sold, no one wants him. His yearlings averaged 10k in 2022. If they can find a buyer (which obviously they can't or he would have been gone years ago), Tourist will be the next to go from Winstar.

Otherwise I really feel its going to be one of their current freshman sires. Right now Always Dreaming is doing the worst of the 2. His yearling sales were awful, they averaged 20k on a 25k stud fee. Even his first crop yearlings sold bad, 36k average on a 25k stud fee. He has had 44 starters with 7 winners, with 1 that placed in a Ohio-bred Stakes. That isn't going to get him mares next year.

War Front had 40 live foals from 75 mares covered - 53% :?
I found 56 of the 75 mares bred to him, but only 26 of the 40 live foals. I knew his fertility has gone down, which makes sense because he's 20 and he's never had great fertility. I wonder if he'll be pensioned soon or if they'll put his fee to private and just breed him to Joseph Allen's and Coolmore's mares.

I thought Coolmore stopped using him when Justify went to stud? I mean maybe they didn't but I didn't notice their mares bred to him the past couple years.

Guessing Always Dreaming will be off to Turkey, they already have his sire and the 3 Kentucky Derby winners they've stood all did/are doing quite well.

Yeah once Coolmore had to get American Pharoah and Justify off the ground, they kind of stopped sending mares to War Front. They also discovered that Japan has really good outcross sires at around the same time.

At first, I didn't understand the drop in his fee because you had posted he got 230 mares again this year. But then I looked at his yearling sales and they were average 28k on a 25k stud fee. So I guess it makes sense they lowered his fee.

gooooooood, thanks for pointing that out. i meant 139 .. not 230 :? so sorry. went back to my comment thinking maybe you had read it wrong, then i realized i had f*d up. 230 was his 2022 number.
i also had done that to a few other stallions, so i fixed that now.

I am intrigued to see what interest Greatest Honour draws. You can't ask for a better pedigree, cheap price.

here are the live foal rates for the "well-known" first crop sires. this as noted before might change given not all reports are out yet.
Authentic 72%
Bodexpress 77%
Bravazo 68%
Caracaro 66%
Complexity 80%
Country House 66%
Echo Town 69%
Game Winner 77%
Gift Box 76%
Global Campaign 71%
Honor A.P. 75%
Improbable 72%
Instagrand 72%
Maximum Security 67%
McKinzie 81%
Spun to Run 72%
Thousand Words 69%
Tiz the Law 64%
Tom's d'Etat 73%
Vekoma 73%
Volatile 69%
War of Will 80%
Win Win Win 61%

and since we were talking about War Front's fertility earlier, here are the rates for some "well-known" other older stallions (along with their age in parenthesis).
Candy Ride (23) 79%
Flatter (23) 75%
Freud (24) 52%
Ghostzapper (22) 67%
Kitten's Joy (21) 62%
Malibu Moon (24) 68%
Medaglia d'Oro (24) 72%
Mineshaft (24) 51%
More Than Ready (25) 73%
Sky Mesa (22) 61%
Speightstown (25) 62%
Tale of the Cat (28) 0%
Tapit (21) 69%

just skimming through the reports, the "well-known" stallions with fertility rates 50% and under:
Afleet Alex 47%
Algorithms 35%
Audible 58%
Broken Vow 50%
Carpe Diem 36%
Faversham 47%
Gio Ponti 22%
Heart to Heart 45%
Ironicus 50%
McCraken 18% :? - not suuuuper well-known i guess, but decided to include him anyways... he's still very young and his fertility rate is far worse than the old stallions mentioned above.
Mizzen Mast 10%
Mohaymen 48%
Protonico 36% - also a bit worrying for an 11 year old?
Shancelot 50%

also, BloodHorse lists Tale of the Cat, Broken Vow and Mizzen Mast as having been pensioned for 2021...? so i don't know what's happening here.

and lastly but not least, this might be a dumb question, but what's the difference between Mares Bred and Reports Received? i never understood that.

Stradivarius will stand for £10,000. There will also be a microshare syndicate to buy a mare that will be covered by him, among other initiatives to keep fans engaged

I had that one already. ;)

But yeah, I forgot that Coolmore doesn't send its mares to War Front anymore. Makes it way harder to find mares bred to him.

I'm glad War of Will's fertility is good, though. Eagerly waiting for his foals to hit the track.
