I don't think it really is. You often get that illusion when photos are taken from that angle.
Agreed. It's just a bad angle.

God I love that horse. I had a random dream that he was euthanized and I woke up really friggen depressed. Lol.

He's a little over at the knee and combined with the angle I think it makes it look big.

Depends on the horse.
Also, it might be to help get the angles a little less "racing", it took my gelding over a year of trims to get a good trim to a "normal" horse's angles. Can't change too drastically or it messes them up.

I don't think there's anything wrong with the knee, it's the angle he's standing.

Camelot is very handsome, IMO.

Has anyone seen this one of Animal Kingdom? Because it's new to me if it really is him:

I am seeing posts using that photo from May 2011 and November 2012, so it is pretty old - also considering how short his tail is and who knows the last time he was in Ocala/Central Florida

No, there's definitely something weird there.

The knee isn't any bigger than the other one. He's forward at the knee, which creates the angle you're seeing.

There may or may not be a little calcification (arthritis) in that knee but, as others have said, a shiny coat plus strong sunlight produces deep shadows that can definitely be misleading in a still photo. A video could be the next best thing to seeing the horse in person, and might provide an answer.

He's over at the knee/buck kneed/forward at the knee, however you want to call it, it's what he is. More so in the right front but having it back vs. forward makes it more noticeable.

Monterosso is nice, a little light in leg bone, and I don't think he has a very attractive head, but overall nice looking.

Henny Hughes is ordinary.

OMG...that picture of Manduro. If I had a mare, she'd be going there just in hopes of getting some of those looks. I wouldn't care if the foal couldn't run a lick if it looked like dad!

Animal Kingdom is gorgeous too. Shame about being a bit over at the knee, but I think that's something that may not transmit if matched with more correct mares. Heck, Storm Cat had horrible knees and he did alright!

Storm Cat wasn't exactly known for producing sound and correct offspring, though.

I know that, but he WAS the highest priced stud for a reason. I stand by what I said about AK though, if he is paired with mares that are more correct in the legs, his flaw shouldn't be a problem.

I'd like to steal Logotype and make him a hunter! He has a good look.
