Civil War(JPN)(War Emblem) has been retired from stud duty after covering 13 mares last year.
He will be pensioned at Shirai Bokujo (Farm), Hokkaido.

Civil War had been standing at Breeders Stallion Station that has recruited many new stallions for this year including Fierement(JPN)(Deep Impact), Just a Way(JPN)(Heart's Cry) and Four Wheel Drive(USA)(American Pharoah).
I wonder if that's one of the main reasons why Civil War had to leave.
It's a shame, but, it does look like Shirai Farm where he will retire to is a wonderful place and they say he will join in Shirai's Fuji Horse Riding Club, too.
Shirai Farm is open to visitors and fans may visit him and even ride the son of the legendary War Emblem!

The grandson of War Emblem(USA) is a 1/2 brother to 2012 JRA Dirt champion Nihonpiro Ours(JPN)(White Muzzle).

Offered to dissolve a partnership, the G3 placed Satin Love – carrying a pregnancy to Maurice – sold to James Harron Bloodstock.
